IMO-I'd say no. A candle is a candle anyways and if you happen to use the "wrong" color in a spell, as long as your intent is behind it it would work well anyways. Same (for me) goes with candle size. I don't think I've ever read anywhere that a candle has to be any certain size. Whatever works for you!

I'd think a candle should be a colour that is what reminds you of your intent for a spell, otherwise I don't know why you'd be burning it - like I wouldn't think it would be an effective tool if it wasn't a good mind key for your intent.

The size though? I use a little tealight if I'm in a hurry or a big pillar if its a longlasting spell. Whatever works for you is great! :)

Well, candles are good for helping you focus, aren't they? Having the right colour just makes it easier.

The only time the size of the candle would be a consideration is if time is a factor in your spell. I like using little tealights & small candles because they burn up within 3-4 hours. Using colour candles can help but I don't find it a must. I like using beeswax ones that I make up myself...that's just my preference.

It's not the size of the candle, but what you do with it. he he he. I couldn't resist that statement.

I have used votives and tall pillars, like Myst said, it depends how much time you have. You may want a taller candle if it is a spell where you will re-light the candle on consecutive days in a row.
