Hi I was reading about Marie Leavue (hope I spelled the name correctly) and it said she had a statue of an unofficial saint called Saint Marron,I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about this unofficial saint.

Hm...I know "negre marron" is (was) an escaped slave. I think if anyone would be in need of an unofficial saint it would be an escaped slave. Does that relate to Marie LeVau at all?

The only Saint Maron I know is the one after whom the Maronite church was named, but I do not see what the link between a typically Syrian and Lebanese denomination and Marie LeVau could be...
Tom's idea definitely sounds more promising :)

You can go to http://www.luckymojo.com (http://www.luckymojo.com) and probably do a search and look it up. Semicivilizedman who teaches the Santeria Class in the CoT here may know also. I hope these things help .
