Okay, my sister, who lives with my mother and father, apporached me a few days ago and asked me what she should do about a few paranormal situations at their home.
Situation1- By the stairs leading to the basement, several of my family members (including myself) have heard a deep gutteral growl. It is very threatening and scary.
Situation2- Farm animals. It is very common to hear cows, turkeys etc. outside of the house at all hours of the day and night. However, they don't live on a farm. The closest farm is at least 15-20 miles away. This isn't scary, but definately paranormal.
Situation3- Recently, a cherished photograph was mysteriously shattered in the night with out a sound. To make things even more odd, the shattered glass remained in the frame.
Situation3- A female voice has been heard speaking directly to MY SON saying, "Please don't cry Tristan. Don't cry."

Any suggestions or comments?

Wild. I'd do a cleansing ritual definitely. At least to start.

Followed by meditation and a reading, maybe?
That sure sounds interesting..

Just curious, how old is the house and is there any way to research previous owners/tenants? Was the house part of a farm previously or built on the site of a former farm? Tristan isn't a common name and may be part of local records.

I would suggest doing a cleansing daily and creating boundaries around the house to clear out the energies.

The house was built directly after WWII as a part of a community of sorts that were strictly for soilder's returning home to their new wives. As you know, many soldiers married their sweethearts, then left for the war days after. So this community of smaller homes was built for that purpose. Anyway, I do not know much of it's history except that a friend of mine who died in a car accident about 2 years ago had lived there when she was very young. Also, my son's name is Tristan. The voice that was heard was actually using his name and speaking directly to him.

Other than the menacing growling one do you accually feel threatend? If not than why do anything about it? Don't they have as much right, if not more, than you to be there? After all they were there first....
