my mom in possible danger

i just got the distressing news today that my mom has a growth on her cervix that could lead to cancer. i was so crushed by this that i had to leave school early. i immediately went home to my alters and prayed for a long time. i've found some peace but i would just like to ask you guys to please help pray with me for my mom's complete healing. this would help so much and i would be so grateful.

I know it's very scary but, try not to get too upset until you know what she's dealing with. It could just be a polyp or cyst. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I've had it too, it's quite common. I had to have the tip of my cervix removed (a LEEP procedure) to rid mine. Things will be ok, hugs.

My daughter went through something similar 8 years ago after the birth of her first daughter. The doctor tried freezing the abnormal tissue in his office twice, then he sent her for laser surgery to remove the affected tissue in her cervix. At this point she shows no signs of the cancer returning. I hope the outcome for your mom is even better.

Sending energies! Cervical Cancer is quite common now a days and can be frozen or burned off as an out patient. The fatality rate for it is minimal with early detection.

I too had precancerous cervical cells that were 'frozen' off.
I was just monitored every few months making sure I had a normal pap each time. Now I just go for my annual and have since had a child.
I'm sure in your mom's case it's a preventative measure, and as a pp said, worst case scenario, cervical cancer is highly treatable.

I do understand your worry though. I watched my mom go through (and survive!) breast cancer.

i'd like to thank all of you for your support and kind thoughts. it amazes me to see the love and concern in all of you and i do feel much better/optimistic about the situation. my mom goes back to see the doctor friday so hopefully we'll get good news. many many thanks again everyone! :)
