Hello all! My name is Lisa and I'm usually only to be found in the Tarot forum. ;)
I'd like to get some help with an assignment. I am supposed to come up with a divination system. I'm not allowed to use tarot imagery here (God/dess help me!), and I'm trying to get some ideas on other, simpler archetypal images.
I have a list of keywords (which I will probably add to) and I'd like to know the first thing you think of (a picture in your head, another word, whatever) when you see / hear that word. I need these to be pretty basic like a heart or stop sign things that are easily accesible to everyone's imagination.
This is so that the divination system can be used by others and not just me. :) I'd like for it to be as universal as possible at the end, with my own twist of course. I will not be making any of these for anyone, but if you'd like to see the end result, I can certainly take some images.
So, here are some words:
Temptation
Caution
Conflict
Love
Friendship
Happy
Sad
Angry / Anger
Afraid / Fear
Work
Play
Relax
Reward
Nature
Growth
Change
Rebirth
Balance
Teaching / Teacher
Learning / Student
Those are just a few to start with. If you have any more that you can think of, please let me know. Basically these will be the "options" that you will have for a specific question. Just like tarot cards or runes, in a way. You will ask a question, or lay a spread and each of these will be assigned a position. What other "options" would you like to see?
You could also tell me what you would mostly use a divination system for, and what type of questions you'd usually be asking. Any of that is helpful.
