I am slowly putting my alter/scrying tabel together and was woundering what the groups thoughts are on what an alter "should have"?From the few alters I have seen it seems most prefer a tabel and chair.Are there any others out there that would prefer to be seated on the floor rather than in a chair? I would be interested to know what some of you adorn yours with.Or perhaps even post a pic .It seems this important item/area is only ever mentioned in passing and never showcased.Or perhaps I am way off and ones alter is not suppose to be described.If that is the case I am sry :fpraise:

My alter currently is on my dresser. Since I can't post a pic, I will describe it to you.
My crystal ball is in the center of it, I have multiple candles on ea ch side, flowers, two incense burners, some rocks, and some crystals. It's a very earth oriented altar. Even when I was dipping in different Pantheons and looking into different gods and goddesses, I never set up my altar to worship a specific one. I guess the elements just worked better for me.
They always have.
But for me, I dont have a chair. My bed is right next to my dresser so usually I kneel. or I lay on my stomach on my bed, whichever is more comfortable for my back. (you know, being a student is so hard!! lol)

You can get ideas and see how people do theirs.
Remember in altar is a personal thing-- don't let other's dictate what you do with yours.
