dream....HELP...

Ok well yesterday a kid that i really like (who works on a farm, yes a farm, i live in the middle of no wheres) asked me to ride with him in the dump truck while they were cutting the corn out back of my house..(this isnt the dream but im showing you why)well anyways the whole time in was in the truck i was thinking how am i going to tell this kid that i like him so i wont get hurt if he doesnt like me or change our friendship....you know?

so last night i dreamt like the whole thing over, that day and then i got out of the truck and some other girl got int he trucka nd i could hear the whole conversation that they were having, she told him she had liked him for a long time and that she wants to go out with him like move the friendship up a level...and then they got out of hte truck holding hands right in frount of me like he only saw me as a friend and i startred to cry and i woke up...

I dont get it, like i was tlaking to my friends and they said if he asked me to ride in the truck wiht him it must have been ment more as a friend why would you ask a friend to go rideing in the truck with you. hes always real nervous when we talk, like he doesnt know what to say because he might like me(thats what everyone tells me), but i dont want to say something to him if he doesnt feel that way. If he doesnt like me I want to stay friends, hes an awesome guy i love talking to him. and if he likes me i would want ot go out with him but if it will ruin the friendship then i dont want to do that. can you help me wiht this dream i think it means that i like him and i was thinking the whole time what do i tell him, how do i tell him i like him. could it be that? and that i always think of the worst thing, like he might already have someone....HELP

well thank you, but i still feel like i think it would change our friendship a little bit if i say something and he doesnt feel the same way, i know we will still be friends. I was wondering if you had any ideas on how i should say something to him , if you dont its ok. im just curious and i will take all the help that i can get.....Thanks again.

First of all...ground! Ground often! Learn to ground so well that you can do it while you're having a conversation, and then your need to communicate won't be overwhelmed by yor nervousness, fear, or whatever.

Next, if he's nervous with talking, not every communication has to be talk! When you're alone with him next time, look him in the face, put your hand on his chest over his heart, and let your face blossom into a huge smile. Think about ways to intensify your relationship without talking about it....if you go to hold his hand and he pulls away, that is a lot gentler and less relationship-destructive than scaring him away with too intense talk too fast.

About the dream....your subconscious is just exploring how easy it would have been to talk with him in this way, the other girl was a version of you, and yet also a warning from your subconscious that if you don't get off the ball some other girl might.

Could also be that you're worried about what might happen if you don't tell him -- he could find another girl, never knowing how you felt!

In the dream, it seems to me that the girl beat you to the punch by doing exactly what you wanted to do when you rode in the truck with him.

Maybe it was your subconscious giving you the motivation to say something to him by expressing your fears of what might happen if you don't.

yah, well im still confused. i know i shouldnt just come out and tell him it will scare him off but if i dont say anything then he will get another girl and it will hurt even more and i wouldnt be able to stand that knowing i never got to tell him but, towards the grounding thing like how? ive never tryed it yet im more at the stage of learning, could you give me advice.

And thinking that the girl is me i know. I always beat myself up about telling him how i feel and i know if i dont soon there will be other girls. and holding his hand or placing my hand on his chest i think it will scare him a bit and i dont have the confidence to do that. im in fear of being rejected i know if i dont do something then theres the chance of another girl coming in the picture and it will be worse. so i know i have to suck it up and just do something now or it will be to late.
