View Full Version : My Daughter Wakes Up Shaking

Hi im not sure if im in the correct section but my 4 year old daughter wakes up about 9 10 pm every other night crying screaming and shaking and pointing at her bedroom door, and getting hilarious, last night was the last time it happened and it scaring me, she also has cold sweat in the end she went to my bed and was ok, she seemed a bit restless but she was not pointing anywhere like there was somewhere there, to me in some kinda way it was like she was still asleep, ive ask my friends and one of them say that her daughter whos now 15 used to talk to someone in her bedroom which her mum knew who it was and my other friend says that maybe she is pining for her dad who walked out on us 2 months ago without a word and he still not came to see the kids yet as he reackons hes in spain and is broke.... please i am desperate for other peoples views, this is really scaring me!!!??????

sorry I am just seeing this now. My son does the same thing except at 1 or 2 in the morning. white noise seems to help the most and a night light also

My son did that at the same age. It lasted about a year. I would just comfort him and put him back to bed. He never remembered these dreams or whatever they were. The Dr. said that it wasn't uncommon for children that age. I know it's hard to see your child upset and afraid like that.

has she told you anything about her dreams? Do you know if you have a ghost in the house? Young children are very sensitive to that sort of thing. My six year old saw one in our house not long ago, luckily it didn't scare her. If it's a ghost, you might be able to find a way to get it to go away.
