There's a couple of Yule themed threads all over the boards. You can try doing a search & see what comes up.
I celebrate almost the whole season. We've been gathering bits of branches & pine cones & greenery for our Yule log that we're putting together this weekend. Also, we're cuttung our tree this weekend as well. On the 21st, we have a quiet family dinner. We'll light the Yule log on that night. We usually decorate it with herbs & branches & spices. (Instructions are posted in the Green Room :D) This year, we're doing the meditation that Sunday's Child shared as we burn the log. Later, I will do my own rituals.
We usually have family gatherings here & there, friends to visit, etc. This is my favourite time of the year. Everyone seems to make time for each other. Of all the gatherings, the one we do on the 21st is the main focus for us.

We get one of those dried grapevine wreaths (available most everywhere hobby & craft items are sold), & we decorate it, with everyone in the household putting something personal on it as a 'sacrifice', & each one putting on a note with wishes for the coming year. The wreath hangs in a place of prominence throughout Yule, & is burned on New Year's morning (to release the wishes, & give up the 'sacrifices'). We remove anything that won't burn (like Xmas tree balls), or that aren't environmentally friendly to burn (like many plastics).

Thanks Wildchild. There are some pretty yummy sounding treats in the other threads. Lots of good ideas. I can't wait to try them out!!!

We've got a nice tree this year with pinecombs still on it, smells great. A few wreaths around the house. Lots of lights. Lots of ornaments and things. I like the joy and festivities of this time. I try not to concentrate "Oh this is Yule and it was here first and all this other stuff was not here"....I personally don't care. There's Kawanza, Hanukah, Yule, Christmas, and other Tradtional Holidays during ths time. This time of the year is NOT about who started it, it's about having fun with family, friends, and strangers. The Faeries are veryout and alive during very festive seasons. :D

I've known some people who keep a yule tree next to their altar. Sort of like a christmas tree only smaller, but used pretty much the same.
