The title of the thread doesn't explain much, but I just wondered how many of you tie Eastern elements into your rituals and daily lifestyles?
For example, how many of you are into I Ching, feng shui, and things like that?
I adhere to a few simple feng shui principles but would like to blend more Eastern practices into my lifestyle, such as using yoga/tai chi as a form of moving meditation and dedicating my practice to the Goddess.
Anyone care for a discussion? :D

Tai Chi and Chi Kung are great for gathering and using energy to charge things up. And I'm bringing Kundalini yoga into my House. The patron of the House is the fire serpent loa, so it works well.

I use the Chinese 5 element system: fire, earth, water, wood, metal.
I believe in terms of application to Chinese medical diagnosis that metal corresponds to Air, because the metal element organ is the Lung which regulates breath. Spirit is something separate found within each of these 5 elements, for example each of the Chinese organ which has its own element association has it's own aspect of spirit. For example, the LIver/Wood spirit is the Hun. The hun is like the animal spirit in us. It is the part of our spirit that returns to the earth at the time of death. There are other spirit aspects for Fire/Heart, Earth/Spleen, Water/Kidney, and Metal/Lung. I also associate stones with these 5 elements as well as separately for spirit.

I'm learning Tai Chi now...and I have a Buddha and Guan Yin on my altar. I look at it more as trying to incorporate different spiritualities into my life, rather than Eastern/Pagan/Christian etc...

I just got into feng shui and I'm finding it difficult because I have some elements in my home's structure that are requiring me to work around them. I suppose it will be worth it in the end. *grumbles about poisoned arrow*

I use Buddhist chanting to raise energies and to calm my psyche down. Very effective.

Maybe learn yoga, chi gung, tai chi and other eastern energy practices. Also maybe look into the chinese elements and shinto practices. Also budhist meditation may be good, i'd like to try them but right now i don't have much time.
