Our only car broke down!

I was driving to my secret place today, and as I made my way back home the accelerator started...not accelerating. :foh:
So I'm thinking it must be some grass or weeds caught in the bottom of the car, the grass is really long, and twigs are everywhere in this little cove I drive into.
I'm talking seconds after I get off the payment the accelerator stops completely, and I basically coasted, with little luck on the gas peddle.

!! This is my mothers car, and she's been procrastinating on taking it to get tuned up for nearly 6 months now, I told her it was going to happen if she didn't do it! I hate it was -me- driving it when it happened, because now I get the back end of her until we figure something out.

Please pray for her, she's financially tied, and our only car is now refusing to start.
We need some good graces. She needs some good luck.

Have you checked the carburettor or the fuel line? Sounds like fuel's not getting through.
