After skimming the article about the celtic and vedic similarities, I think I have to say that I think one would find that *many* paths share those same similarites. How many mythologies consists of very similiar archetypes, journeys, events, etc.?
I can see how the conclusions of the article were easily arrived upon . . . I'm just not sure how sound they are. Though I can't really articulate the why.

It seems to be largely constructed on a specious link between Vedic & Celtic imagery, in rather the same way as Moura's "Origins of modern witchcraft". Such linkage seems over-confident, to say the least, and beggaring historicity.
I have much more passion for linking up Tantra with Paganism - much of Hindu folk religion is unquesitonably Pagan in it's theology and practice, and Tantra provides the magickal tradition to go alongside.
I would recommend the two following books as introductions -
Shamanism & Tantra in the Himalayas - Ratsch, Muller-Ebeling & Shahi, and White's amazing compliation Tantra in practice. There is also an excellent website at http://www.clas.ufl.edu/users/gthursby/tantra/index.html

Oh, I found that site a few months ago when I was looking for anything about Pagan-Hinduism. It's like one of the only ones about that path. Heh.
