eta: I originally posted a VERY LONG excerpt from this forum. I looked at it and realized it was far too long for regular post. I don't usually do this, but I will link directly to the topic. My username there is Abigo. I'm posting this because this is a forum I have been on for a while. I value these people's opinion. They are second only to MW for me. I stated my views on nudity on tv. People could have very well disagreed and left it at that. Instead I had my views called stupid and prudish, among other things. I am not one to lie around and let others trample on my views. I can agree to disagree. I understand others have differing viewpoints. That is perfectly fine. I cannot allow my views to be trampled on and/or belittled. I am one who will stand up for what she believes, no matter the opposition. I even PMed the site moderator of the forum, asking for help. Instead she threatens to ban me. (Via warning). I did not mock or belittle anyone's views. I never said that my view was the only one. I did make a comment about bananas, yes. I think that was understandable, after all the person DID have the primate avatar. Even he found it amusing. I am stretched as thin as tissue paper right now. These are people I care about, and one of them is almost cheering my banning! I have never had such problems on any other thread I've made there. I am sick and tired of feeling as though I'm chewing on my own heart.

I don't mind if anyone wants to browse that forum and see the other posts I've made. To compare or whatever. I can understand if some can see where the others were coming from. I just think they way they treated me was uncalled for.

I'll never be giving up on MW, that other forum on the other hand... I don't know. I PMed that one girl to let her know what was going on and that I'd be on a sort of hiatus from that site.

I'm sorry that other posters took your remarks so personally. Sometimes it helps to take a few days away from a forum. Sending energy for all this to get sorted out and for friends to remember that they are friends.

I'm sorry they gave you such a hard time, the only advice I have is just to give up the argument, I think they are enjoying the fight too much to try and see where you are comming from. Were you actually banned or was that a threat?

I'm logged out of there for now so I don't know what the mod chose to do. I did PM that one girl about my post here and let her know what was going on. I told her she could give the PMs I sent her about the thread to the mod or post them on the site if she wanted to. Who knows, maybe some of them will take a hint? I doubt it though. *shrugs*

You know... I've had people turn on me in the blink of an eye. Sometimes people just need drama in their lives so bad they'll do anything. And yeah, it's really upsetting when people you're friendly with joins in on the 'fun'.

This is when you find out who your true friends are. And the rest are just fake - who wants to be around that?

And also remember with retrogde phase starting, right now people are going to be sharp with their words and be more argumentative then what may be normal, try not to take it personally and as some have said just walk away from the argument if you can it is not worth the energy
