I don't know if this program will still be running. Kalika has stepped down as a guide, so for now, I will close the thread until we find someone else. :)

People interested in mentoring in the program, please email the following information to: mwmentors@hotmail.com

Mentors should provide the following information in an email with the title: Mentor

Emails without a subject line of Mentor will be ignored.

Qualifications:

Member of MW for at least 1 month, or with a minimum of 10 posts.

Information needed from you in order to participate:

Top 5 areas of "expertise" or knowledge.

An alternate email address.

WHY you want to become a mentor.

Your MW Name/ID

Exclusion of any one of these items will keep you from being enrolled with this program, so please be thorough. :)

If you have any questions, please PM Bix or I.

This thread is not for sign-ups; you will need to email the info requested.

We haven't assigned anyone yet.

We'll let you know when assignments are going out - we want to give people a chance to see that its there first. :)

There are newbies signing up as well. Some people will be assigned right away - some people won't - it depends on the need, common interests/knowledge, etc. In either case, Bix or I will always let you know when new assignments are being sent out, and if you are not assigned.

All of the emails that were in my in-box have been dumped, and I'm not sure if I actually accidentally deleted them, or if the account got dropped - but I'd like to get you all paired up ASAP.

I'm still waiting on some kind of acknowlagement on the original email I sent regarding this. I understand the set up was a bit messy at the time but just some wrd like "yes we recived your application" might have been helpfull. I even spoke directly to Bix about it at the time when I didn't hear anything back.

Its fine you know I'm big enough to take the rejection if you don't want me :( *goes to sulk in her corner*

I got an email confirmation out to everyone that I currently have an email from. If you did not get an email confirmation, please re-send your info. (If you have an AOL email address that you are sending from, please PM me if you did not receive a response email, as these seem to be bouncing back to me.)

Hopefully we'll get a few more mentors and I can assign ya'll to someone very soon! (We're still about 6 mentors short of the number we need)

It has been reopened, but here is what I need from you: If you sent an email and have not been paired, please resend it ASAP. If I receive enough emails, I'll pair people up at the end of the week.
