Frustration with other paranormal forums

I hate joining a paranormal based forum and having people come out and attack you personally. I joined this one forum and all in all the people are great. But there is one a-hole of a guy on there who jumped on me about my group CORUPT and how we aren't serious and all this crap. Why are people so quick to judge? Have you guys had this problem in other forums? This is the first time someone has questioned my team's seriousness. :( I was fuming mad. grrr....

I know what you mean! There's always gonna be an 'ass' in every group. Some people should sweep around their own doorstep before they go judging another. Aislin...don't worry about what others think because what does their opinions mean anyway? They're only hurting theirselves anyway when they judge you.=)

p.s.-i thought groups were supposed to be supportive not attacking/judgin! Where's the love??

Thanks. I shouldn't let it bother me, but it does. I think it is because I commit so much time/effort/money to my team. Irks me when someone comes out and bashes the group without ever having met them!

There seems to be a real issue with groups in the Ohio/great lakes region. They don't like other groups and they will try to drag the other groups down just so that they look good. No unity. Blah.

I've seen this happen on a number of paranormal forums I lurk on. It seems to be a fairly recent thing, within the past few months. Everything on those forums was hunky-dory, and all of a sudden, a few people showed up and started causing trouble. I don't mean skeptics, just jackasses looking to put down people and their beliefs and experiences.

I've also seen some people join a forum and make totally off-the-wall, wild claims of paranormal experiences and then belittle anyone who dares to question the validity of their stories or ask for some type of corroborating evidence.

I would give the link, but I am doing an investigation at the Admin's house in a couple of weeks and I don't want to screw myself over. No offense LB.

I did "go off" on the guy and he backed down. But then I kind of felt bad, for only a few seconds, when I found out he is a Gulf War vet who is in a wheelchair and suffers from Ogent Orange problems. :ugh: Oh well. I want to tell him to get a f*cking hobby. But I will be nice and not rock the boat, until at least after the investigation. :hehehehe:

I'm on the TAPS forum, the one with the Ghost Hunters show on sci fi, they aren't so bad there. Ghost Village isn't too bad either.
I don't usually post evidence cause on all forums theres always someone who has to act like a jerk and rip on anything that everyone does.

Ghost Village is a pretty decent forum, and I LOVE the TAPS forum. The people there have a good, healthy dose of skepticism, but not to the point that they can't be convinced no matter how compelling the evidence is.

Ghost Village can be pretty slow sometimes, but they have tons of links to other sites and pretty updated paranormal news and events.
TAPS is my favorite too. I just avoid it on Wed nights and Thurs am, it gets really busy after a show.

I have a LOT of troubles on psychic/premonition forums, other than this one.

For some reason, all of the religious people who don't believe in psychics or the ability to tell the future go there; and then tell people the future.

But if someone else says 'this is what I dreamt of last night, it might be a vision,' then the SAME PEOPLE who said 'this is what the future is', the SAME PEOPLE who don't believe in psychics but claim they're psychic, tell the other people there that they're full of shit and to screw off. @_@

WHY THE HELL ARE YOU ON A PSYCHIC FORUM IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN PSYCHICS?!!!?!?!!

</rant> Sorry, but that really pisses me off. I can't even post on that particular premonition forum anymore because people told me I was stupid and that there was no such thing as psychics or spirits or the pagan religion, and then I told them where to stick it. :bigredblu :shot:

Part of that forum was paranormal, which is where I posted the most, so I hope I'm still considered on topic. ^^;
