Okay, we need your input

An idea was brought up in DK's "Let's try this again" thread to make the forum more organized and easier to navigate. DK and I think that a number of subforums, similar to what we currently have in the Paths forum, might be a good way to go.

Some tentative subforum topics are:

Ghosts and Hauntings
Psychics and Sensitives
Cryptozoology
UFOs

We need you guys to tell us what you think of this idea - like it, love it, hate it, however you feel, let us know. Also, feel free to add topic suggestions.

DK has a thread in the Site Room (http://www.mysticwicks.com/showthread.php?p=2510128#post2510128) suggesting this change to the admins. If you like the idea, don't hesitate to post your support there.

Well, as the description for the current Paranormal forum says, there is also the subject area of "energy fields"... Which can be a really interesting subject in several ways.

On the one hand, there are the individual energy fields of living beings (like people, or your cat, dog, or horse). And that relates to your personal identity and your influence on others and to your health. The also there are larger energy fields associated with a vortex or, say, a forest.

And what about these "orbs" some people are into? Are they not related to an energy (or "energy field")?

Hmmm.... Not sure about this. Because, see, someone could argue that "ghosts/hauntings shouldn't have a subcategory because psychics and sensitives are people who sense ghosts"... And therefore you could simplify by not having a ghosts & hauntings subcat.

I don't think it's a matter of one way being right and another wrong, but I feel there's a good argument for having an energy-fields subcat. My humble opinion...

Well - there is a lot more to being a 'psychic/sensitive' than just sensing ghosts - that sub-forum would cover a lot more different topics than just ghosts and hauntings :) - hence why they are separated.

'Orbs' could come under either 'ghosts/spirits' or 'paranormal investigations' - since orbs are mostly associated with haunted places.

But you do have a valid point regarding energy fields - they are varied and include everything from living things to inanimate objects.

I don't think this forum needs subforums. Any forum can be split into subforums. G & G could have special sections for Greek gods, Egyptian, Irish, etc. HHH could be split into Depression, Relationship Trouble, Financial Stress, etc. Just Talk could be split into School Issues, Work Issues, Home Life, etc. But these forums function fine without subforums. I think this forum is fine the way it is, too.

Just my opinion. I don't really care one way or the other. Just saying.
