Yeppers ~ you can say that in my not so perfect life I have needed some postive affermation more than once to draw upon or twice ~ and it is nice to have something to draw from ~ and yes to the symbol Q as well ~ on my alter for proctection in the 4 corners I put the WynnJera Symbols there as well I made rune binds of my name on different materials that I come across ~ Glass ~ Clay ~ Wood ( still eagerly seeking to find some antlers to make a set ) ~ BB ~ WynnJera ~

Yeah affirmations are great, I just never remember to use them!
Your altar sounds neat!
I cant send you any antlers they are a rarity over here.. I suppose they are very common over the pond as I saw loads in Wyoming when I visited.. They made a massive arch gateway into a park out of them, it was magnificant but a little spooky I thought. I just personally wouldnt use anything from another animal, but I guess I wear leather.. so i cant comment. I guess its a tradional thing over in the US and Canada?

Oh Please do not get me wrong ~ I would never kill the animal for it's antlers ~ just want some naturally shed ones ~ I have seen other antler type crafts and feel that a runes set made from ONLY ( MHO here ) shed antlers would be a very powerful set indeed ~ I look at it in this light, if you pick up rocks from the earth and use them in magickal practices ~ if you use naturally shed anter are you not doing the same thing ~ taking from the earth things to use to help in magick ~ My power animal is a Peacock another animal that sheds it's tail every year ~ I have some shed feathers that I use in my rites and spells too ~ some I use like a wand ( even tho I have a real one ) and some I use as a Quill to pen some chants and such ~ We have power animals and call on them when we need ~ so I see it as adding their power to the things you do with them .....

As for my name I call on it's meaning for a push to keep going ~ I as of late and the accident have needed to call on it a tad bit more ~ lol ...

You've persuaded me :D
Sorry I didnt think that they could shed them naturally, do they do this while still alive or when they have died? Sorry Im really duh on this subject

I really liked what you said about the stones and earth, I follow that belief and always use natural found objects for my practice.
Your peacock feathers sound really beautiful :) I have a dove feather that I found years ago which I use for a incense wafter and couldnt be without it.

Although we have only just met, i feel that your name is so you and very powerful for you, congratulations :)

What ahppened in the acident, I hope your alright and no one was hurt.

Yes Deers shed them every year to grow bigger better one's ~ Kinda like we loose baby teeth for adult ones ~ they do not have to be dead to shed them and they do not die when they shed them ~ happens every spring ~ same with the peacock ~ a bigger better tail means better chance of mating ~ so I have been looking for antlers here in Alberta yet have not had a chance to get in the Deep woods for awhile ~ Still hopin' ~ BB ~ WynnJera ~

Ahaaaa now I understand!
Sorry youll learn that im blonde... I was just thinking along the lines of elephant tusk hunting, but after seeing all those antlers in Wyoming I should of known to ask and learn more about the elks there.
Here in England we do have deer but they are very rarely seen and it must/would be very rare and lucky to find there antlers. I love deers, bambi still is one of my all time greatest films! lol

Hope you find your antlers very soon for your new runes :)
Are they easy to crave, I guess you will slice them into circles?

Antler is really GREAT to carve in... it's hard, but not TOO hard, & when you slice it, the cross section has no grain to make your carving tool 'jump'... antler is essentially just hard hair, so if you use a Dremel or other power tool to carve it, you get that 'burning hair' smell... antlers are difficult to find in the wild, 'cuz rodents tend to chew them up pretty rapidly... check places that sell custom made hunting knives...
Bone is much the same for carving (ask Silver Venus about her bone hammer), & is generally easier to come by...

I live in Alberta Canada and my Step Dad is an avid hunter ~ Maybe I can ask him to try and get me some ~ I was thinking of cutting it into slices ~ then with I am not sure the name of the tool but it is like an electric pen that burns into things ~ like wood ~ one was used in the move Frequency to write on the desk ~ I thought that would work ~ Any thoughts ~ BB ~ WynnJera ~
