I was wondering, in what ways do you express your christian witchism? Do you have jewelry? Tattoos? Certain expressive clothes? Home decor? Ect...
As for me, I wear a cross around my neck. I have a tattoo on my left shoulder blade of a cross with music staff lines encircling it. I have several faery peices of clothing. Plus a whole wall of my living room is dedicated to faery art. I haven't purchased any pentagram jewelry yet because I am not fully "out of the closet". I also have two altars. A christian one and a pagan one. Both in the same corner of my house.

Hmmmm. I'm not really a Christian witch because I don't practice magic. I do practice Centering Prayer (a type of meditation).
So, I guess I don't express my Christian Witchism. :)
I do have a couple of crosses that look very old. They aren't really old, they just look it, as art. One is a Spanish style. The other looks Celtic.

The question I would ask here is, why do you feel the need to express you Christian Witchism? or draw attention to your Christian Witchism?

Well, first of all, I'm a really self-espressive person. My favorite color is purple. And so I feel the need to wear it a lot. Just because I like the color. I like wearing my cross because I'm proud to be a christian. (mind you, I'm not proud of the history of the christian church) But I love GOd and I love Jesus and my religion is SO much apart of my life that I want to wear it on my person. It honestly doesn't matter to me if people notice it or not. SO I'm not after any "attention" drawn to it. Every once in a while I will see a person wearing a cross and I will compliment them on their cross. THen they will look up and see my cross and smile. It's like a little mini connection we've just made in that instant. Meeting another brother or sister in christ.
Just the same, I would feel the same way about wearing a pentagram. Because it's apart of my life so it is something that I wan to express. All of my jewelry that I wear every day each has a meaning to me. My cross has musical staff lines in it because music is the way I connect with God. I have a bracelet that has a quote from the Bible on it. I have another bracelet that my father gave my mother when we were living in Alaska (now my parents are divorced). I have a ring on my left-hand ring finger that has a cross and two jesus-fishes on it as a symbol of my dedication to God. I have a pair of earings that I made that have both a cross on it and a ying-yang symbol on it. I don't wear these things as a way to draw attention to myself or to my religion. I wear it because these symbols are important to me in my life, regardless of who notices them.

I was in a similar situation a year ago, when i wore my silver cross, and my silver pentcale at the same time. Needless to say, my parents were angry and my friends were confused. It took me a while before I relized something: I don't have to wear any sort of jewlery to prove my relgion to God, Jesus or the Mother Goddess. It should be in your heart already and it should just be what you believe. I am happy that these symbols are important to you, because they should be, as they are apart of who you are! As a Christian Witch, I feel that it sometimes gets confusion on "what you should be" so to speak. The thing to remember though, is it is what you believe, yaknow? Goodluck, Godbless and Goddess be with you.

Peacock..
A question for your question to ViolinGoddess.. why do you feel the need to display that picture as your avatar.. obviously because that is a part of your self expression... ViolinGoddess expresses herself through jewelry.. you through bodyart.. both visible for the world to see.. and if not readily visible.. easily made visible..
blessings..

I have a tiny cross with a crucifixation on it, but no pentacle, I'm pretty open and out of the closet in some ways, but around the parents (since I live at home) I can't be open, so I haven't purchased one yet.

I'm not completely "out" yet. I'm still learning about the path of Christian Witchery, and as my faith grows, I'll begin to express it more. Right now, the most I do is wear a simple pentacle (much to my mother's chagrin).

While I don't consider myself a "witch," things like the Celtic Corss, knotwork, and other symbols incorporate a lot of things. People may think your triqueta is only for the Chrsitian holy trinity; while you feel it means more etc.

Now I come to think of it...
A couple of years ago, I felt torn between the two. I just got into Witchcraft and it felt so pure, so real. But on the other hand, there was that strong connection with Mother Mary. I'm named after her and my family has a strong connection with her. My favourite song is a typical Flemish song, dedicated to her.
For some months, I wore my pentacle, together with my little 'tear', in which you can see an image of Mary.
I'm a Witch now, but I'll never forget how close I was (and still am, I believe) with Mary. And yes, even now, I sometimes wear my 'tear'. It makes me feel so safe...
Needless to say that people did not notice it, at all. Most Belgians to not know what the pentacle mean (Yes, apart from the symbol of the devil) and the image of Mary is s quite small. And it's far from the typical Maria imagery... I'll try to make a scan one day...
I would never ever wear a cross, but that's so personal. I do not like a symbol of suffering around my neck...

I wear a Celtic Gothic style cross with a pentacle on the center, it was custom made about 8 years ago ( I have always worn crosses and pents, just not together in one piece). Original I had gotten it as an expression ad protection, now it is part of me. Not to mention quite a conversational piece! It gives me a lot of opportunities to talk about history and clear some things up. I leave it tucked it a sometimes, and other not. I go with my gut on that one. I also have many folk symbols mano figa, cornuti, claddagh

Did you know that the pentacle could be a symbol of the Five Joys Of Mary - the Annunciation - the Nativity - the Resurrection - the Ascention - the Assumption?
Or any five of the twenty Mysteries of the Holy Rosary (five Joyful - Luminous - Sorrowful - Glorious)?
For the record, the five Joys of Mary are not the same as the five Joyful Mysteries.

I never wear any identifying jewelry or other visuals that would clue people into my faith. Once in a while I wear a bracelet I purchased at a church fund raiser that has little sticker photos on metal squares of Mary, Jesus and various saints, but I usually only wear it on holy days, during prayer, things of that nature.

I don't wear jewellery, aside from a heart necklace and my marriage band, however in my home I have statues of Mary, St Joseph, a Crucifix, a picture of the Pope, a drum with the Morrigan, a wood burning of Cernunnos, and other little things all over my home. I don't publicize to the world who I am or what I believe. I live it, and I hope that my life is a witness enough for both the Catholic and the Witch.
There was a time I felt a need to wear a pentacle, but that was seven years ago, and I was very green. I do own a triscele made of silver, but I no longer wear it. (Mainly because my husband gave me a gold heart that has more meaning to me personally.) If I lived in a world where I wouldn't be persecuted, then I would probably wear something pretty that expressed both paths, but I don't and I learned the hard way to Be Silent.

I'm sorry to hear that, Marithorn!
I have a necklace depicting a starfish, which reminds me of a pentagram. I'm thinking of getting a triple-moon (or other celestial) temporary tattoo as a sign of my connection to natural cycles in my path. (The triple-moon would be ballpoint pen...8O )

A sand dollar works as a pentacle as well. It is what I used on my alter when I had one set up.
I don't really practice witchcraft at this time, but it is part of my beliefs if that makes sense.
I wear a cross, but I have worn a small pentagram, a triple Goddess pendant and a triskele (among other charms that represent me (cat, wolf, horse, butterfly, celtic cross) )on a bracelet, but I haven't worn it in a while, it isn't practical in my line of work (x-ray tech). It gets caught in things when I am busy.
I also have a tatoo of a cresent moon with celtic knots on my ankle and a shammrock with a triquetra (or trinityknot) in each leaf on my shoulder.
To me these are symbols of my beliefs, but others would just see the obvious.
