View Full Version : Runemasters interpretation needed

Ok. I need a second opinion on this. I did a 5 rune cross reading on Facade and my question was,

"What is my future with MW?"

What follows is their interpretation. I hate doing a reading of this scope on myself. Much less divining the meaning without another learned opinion. So anyone want to give it a whack? If you want you can email me your thoughts or post here. Thanks!

Peace

What do you learn from the rightmost rune, that representing the past?

Destiny. The blank rune is frequently not used in readings, as uncertainty and fate are well symbolized in many of the other runes. This rune represents a situation that either cannot be described or cannot be controlled. You must take care in identifying which of these unknowns you face...

What do you learn from the center rune, that representing the present?

Ansuz refers to a god or the spoken word of God. It is the voice of reason, law, prophecy and truth. It is the truth heard in the wind. This rune represents wisdom obtained or knowledge delivered. It is the rune of absolute good advice and true council - the message we all must strive to hear.

What do you learn from the leftmost rune, that representing the future?

Raido is the rune of riding, as in a cart or as cargo. It is seen here reversed, suggesting a disruption of travel or communication. Etiological analysis of this rune has also given it interpretations of advice or justice, and of being in a position of moral correctness. Reversed, there is an indication of the lack of solid council, or the holding of a position that is not morally sound.

What do you learn from the rune on the bottom, that representing forces working against you?

Berkana represents the birch tree. The birch is frequently symbolic of renewal, rebirth, birth, growth and fertility. This rune is a joyous one, representing good outcomes from ventures undertaken. It is the rune of the family and of a good household.

What do you learn from the rune on the top, that representing forces working for you?

Ken is the rune of light and knowledge. The rune is shown reversed representing a state of darkness or ignorance. Either you are unable to obtain information that you need, or the information is being withheld from you. In darkness there is fear, but remember that darkness does not mean isolation. Friendship and comfort can still be available, although they are not immediately visible.

...but maybe I can help...

Hmm... 'blank' Rune... doesn't exist (at least in my worldview), so it has no meaning... so there's really no significant 'past' to this issue...

Ansuz in the present fits right into the situation... as a moderator, you speak (communicate) from a position of respect... ergo you hold yourself to a higher standard than if you were simply a member... you speak with words of wisdom...

Raido speaks of being concerned that things like time constraints &/or other 'life' obstacles will make it difficult for you to meet the standards you've set for yourself... it's also a Rune indicating decisions... just base the decisions on best available information at the time, & make them rationally, not emotionally...

Berkana is the embodiment of the Earth Mother... I have a hard time seeing this as something working against you... I'd rather say this is protecting you from anything that might be working against you...

Kenaz is the Torch of Enlightenment... if this light is 'dimmed', it's from your fears & concerns, not from something grounded in reality... you just need to fan the flames a bit, Twig...

Thank you my Friend! That pretty much jibes with mine except I use the Wyrd (blank) as the symbol for Chaos or the Unknown as the situation warrents. (Note- this is a personal tool that I use in my readings. Also, Like Rick, many do NOT use the 25th rune as it is a later addition to the set and not considered valid by some if not most schools.)

Peace,
Twig

I strongly got from the last few runes that maybe they are saying 'Its what you make of it' Berkana is a fertility rune, so if you sow the seeds they will grow and with kenaz, the light can be as bright or as dim as you want it ~ you can trun it bright or let it die out just like a oil burner...

not a rune master either but i do like to think i kinda know what's going on~ rick and silver venus state pretty much what i got out of it too. . . (i dont do reversed meanings, so--)

you're working well in MW now, and i think that your biggest choices involve what you want, as well as the area you choose to work in. . .just a projection from Kenaz but perhaps you have another area of artistry that may be calling you, that you are skilled at. Raidho speaks to the idea that things will evolve as they should. . . where your path goes, you will come across the necessary outside influences and choices to guide you, whether you decide to pursue something else or stay with MW as you are now. I think Berkano is showing that things are protected, but they are also going s-l-o-w and so any growth or decisions you do or make should not be hasty, but well-thought-out and solidy based on the information available (as any good decision should be).
