Merry Meet bright people! *
This is my first post and one of my first real steps to become active in the pagan (on-line) community.
I live in central Florida and am an artist and a student.
I've discovered Wicca recently. I never chose to learn much about it in the past- perhaps succombing to some unfortunate social misconception or two.. although I've always had a love for Celtic/Irish lore and culture.
It was a Celtic festival I went to recently that made me want to research Wicca and Paganism.. and when I started reading about the religion, I felt as if I had found a peaceful haven for my soulful quest at last.
I connected to what I was reading- it made sense, I felt the truth of Wicca in my spirit. I began opening up to life more and more and have found myself a happier person, more responsive to the everyday miracles we all witness.
I've since started a garden and began incorporating nature and flowers and natural fibers more and more into my artwork.
I'm still aggravated by my southern baptist mother from time to time, and stifled in many endeavors to further my Wiccan path of learning... but I close my eyes and consciousness and listen to the echoing of my spirit.
I'm more interested in being solitary, rather than in a coven - and am looking for any pagan-related festivals in this area that anyone may know of.
Light and Love to you all-!
