Hi, merry meet. I was wondering if anyone else here uses the Aquarian Rune system? I tried the runes many years ago and got zilch from them, but about a year ago I found the Aquarian Rune system and Bingo! I have a very good connection with this.

I myself have never used runes, but everyone has a connection with something I believe, and you connect w/those particular runes!

Well, I think a peek at this site http://www.geocities.com/fires_opals/amenu.htm will allow you get a better picture than what I could explain.

My daughter bought the book several years ago but I was still using tarot at that time. She has been doing readings for me with them occasionally and at last I became interested in trying them for myself.

She made herself a set of runes from sculpty clay and painted the runes. I made a set for myself using small hematite stones which I painted and sealed. I think making your own runes helps one get familiar with the runes and creates a strong connection with them.

They look like the Futhark Norse runes with the exception of a few extra ones. The meanings are similar as well. Thanks for that link, I'm going to read it over more in-depth.

Here's a link if you want to do a comparison.

I thought these were just like the futhark runes, only with different descriptions. There are 25 runes in this set, including a blank stone for the unknowable. How many are there in the futhark system?

Depending on who you ask, 24 or 25 if you count the blank rune. In your book, do they give names to the runes?

Hmm... these are the 24 Runes of the Elder (Germanic) Futhark (again, there is nothing in Eddaic Lore or Rune tradition to suggest a blank Rune... it was invented by some German High magicians around 1900)... looks like somebody took 'em & re-packaged them with a different name... otherwise, I can't tell any difference... except the historical information on the site is very poorly researched... there's no historical evidence to suggest ANYONE used Runic symbols 120,000 years ago...

It's kinda like some tarot decks having the 'blank' card, number 22 in the major arcanum (All Believers- the unknowable). I like having that in both the tarot and the runes. In the Aquarian Runes the blank stone is known as the Destiny stone. "It represents the unknown and the unknowable. Some things must stay hidden until the proper time so that, through your choices, you may learn the lessons you have come here to learn. However, this rune signifies the issue at hand is related to your life's destiny."

The rune for "Hail" is called Radical Discontinuity in this system. "A situation that needs changing is now being forced upon you. Often the energy associated with this rune feels quite stormy. However, it forces changes which must occur. Expect abrupt endings, important disassociations and so forth. While trying to decide whether to divorce the cheating bum I was married to, I drew this rune several times.
