Ive been doing some research, looking into finds and the like into Northern Europe, based in Canterbury, South East England, this makes travelling tollcations such as Sweden, Norway and Denmark, pretty easy, less than 2 hours to copenhagen!Ive heard from locals up in Scandinavia, that there still exist traditional funerals with rites and blessings of the Old Gods, and certainly on gravestones there appear ancient symbols with those of a more Christian nature,so perhaps it isnt complete recreation per se but continuation-a burst in contunuation?x

I'm going thru posts and saw this thread and that no one had ever replied to you.

Have you gone hunting for these individuals that are still carrying on the old rites? I onder how hard they'd be to find.

Ya know, when you think on how people have continued atleast altered or evolved continuing practices thru the ages till now, I do agree this is just a burst of continuation and not really a dug up reconstruction afterall. I always say that somewhere, someone was practicing the old ways at all moments thru time till now, it just looked like a dead religion. They just got good at hiding it well but we pretty much have the ability now to where we don't have to nor are willing to be hide it anymore.

Makes me wonder if we should start calling ourselves continuists instead of reconstructionists. lol
