Anyone have any ideas about this dream, it really scared me.

I was with my boyfriend and our friends and I saw this evil ghost standing off to the side. No one else could see it except me and boyfriend if he got close enough. I kept seeing her and eventually my boyfriend forced me to touch her, she disappeared but I felt a chill through me. After that she started being nasty and was very violent in my boyfriends room so we went to my house. But she had broken all the lights and I was afraid. We went backwards and forwards between the two rooms and at one stage I was carrying my boyfriend on my back because he had no shoes on. At this stage there were many ghosts floating around but most were harmless. Then I saw a doll walking towards me and I tried to kick her away because I knew she was evil. I smashed her head because it was chine but she kept coming back. She bit me in the hand at one stage. When I woke up I was still afraid and felt a presence in the room.

Sounds like you've got some apprehensions about something... you might PM Cydira... she's kind of our 'resident' dream intrepreter...

Sounds like there is definitely something on your mind. Here are some interpretations of some of the symbols in your dream. The ghosts might represent your shadow self, parts that you fear. It's only your own fear that turns them into nightmares. They could also represent your own fears about death and dying. Freud saw them as a symbol of the mother. Ghosts can also be viewed as ancestor spirits who have come to visit you in your dream and it's believed that only spirits who truly care for you would communicate with you in this way. You say you felt a presence in the room when you woke up, although you are associating this with the doll. As to the doll, Jung believed that dolls represent the male and female parts of yourself. They can also symbolize your attitude toward the opposite sex or that you're behaving in an immature manner. The lights may have a spiritual significance and the fact that they are broken could mean you have concerns about your spirituality. Light also symbolizes hope. You're carrying your boyfriend on your back which could mean that you feel that he or the relationship is a burden or that you are needing to take care of or protect him.

Well you might get a dream dictionary and a notebook and think about what ghosts mean to you. What Freyja said might very well be right.

You might want to cleanse your room magically and carry a stone or charged talisman to bed, and cast white light around yourself of protection before you sleep. Even if there was some nasty energy left in the room from a fight or something or who knows what floating around the house it might've caused it.

When someone decides to play in my dreams I have at least a few nightmares a night, sometimes non stop nightmares. It's not a fun business.

Thank you, I will try cleansing my room. I haven't done that yet although I keep meaning to because I live in student accomodation and goodness knows what energy is left in the room. I had acted immaturely in my relationship with my boyfriend previously and I was afraid that it would ruin what we have now. I have felt like i needed to protect him then because he was having a few problems and I'm a natural mother type. thanks again.

Thanks for your response, Jasmine Star. I've been lazy and rusty, so it's good to know it meant something to you! Myst's idea about cleansing your room is an excellent one also. Especially since you've had lots of other people dreaming in there! 'Specially students - lots of stress there!;)
