Mike Smith's: What is Asatru Youtube video series (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSKv5V9X0IA)
So far he has five videos online and the last one he posted was in the last week.. so he's keeping them up to date.. I've really found them very informative. I must say I completely understand the concept of Skuld now by watching the fifth one in his discussion of the Norns.

Thanks so much for posting this---they're great!
(Although I'm embarrassed at how badly I was pronouncing many of the important words!)

Cool! Tell her to tell him he's doing an awesome job for me! I posted a comment on the 5th one, but I think it's wonderful he's doing this series. Especially actually being able to hear the pronunciations.. books and language keys are great, but I like the whole 'multi-media' way of learning. Brings everything together so greatly :)
and thanks for the link to add.. (vingolf) :) I will do that!
Yeah.. I'm still working on the page.. I think I need to move that wolf in the snow pic javaapplet to a different page because it 'killed' the "tiny roaming Mjollnir" .. plus it probably makes it slower to load on dial-up...but I really really like it. I also need to fix the special characters.. I just installed firefox (because one of my co-workers recommended it highly) and for some reason the special characters don't display right.. but they still are ok in microsoft's IE. *shrugs* I used the alt+number codes originally to make the characters... so I need to search and find something that works for both (and hopefully netscape too) I searched firefox and found a plugin but apparently it doesn't work.. *grumble*
Thanks again for the link-suggestion :)

Well, there's much debate about whether the "important words" were pronounced as in modern Icelandic or as in reconstructed Old Norse...
Personally, I'm neither Icelandic or Old Norse (old & hoarse, maybe  ), so I pronounce the "important words" with a redneck accent... ;)

I pronounce them with an Aussie accent _inabox_
Thank for the link heathenmom, I really have enjoyed these videos, and as a newbie to Heathenry and Asatru they helped me grip a few concepts better! I've also checked out a few of your little youtube rambles. :P

Thanks for posting this. I would never have come across these videos otherwise, YouTube is too vast for me! I have watched the first few so far and have found them very informative and helpful.
