I just found out about an hour ago a friend of mine is going in to a detox facility tomorrow. She wont be home till next tuesday and she is scared to death. She has a job, a beautiful 4 year old daughter, and a pretty decent husband and she is scared of loosing it all. Could you just please send some strength to her and her family to make it through this?

Thank you so much. I have never had a friend go through this before so Im not quite sure what to say or do. All I knew to tell her was if her hubby needed help with their daughter to call me (they have off work hours.)

She really is a good kind hearted woman.

Energy is on the way. She is indeed very brave to do this and I would tell her that every chance you get. And let her know it's okay to be nervous or afraid. She's making the choice to change her life and that's never easy but in the end the rewards will greatly outweigh the hurdles.

My friend should be in day two of detox now and feeling pretty miserable. Im sure her daughter is starting to feel the insecurity of not having her mother there and her husband as well.

So please not only pray to give her the strength to move through this but the strength to be able to not go back to that old habbit when she is home.

Thank you so very much in advance.

Your friend is so lucky to have a friend like you! Some people make this world a better place just by being in it.

I am sending healing, positive energies her way and comforting, reassuring ones to her family.

It is not going to be easy for her but she is a brave lady and she has taken the first step - I hope that her path to recovery is a smooth one.

I cannot thank you enough. I think personally it takes great strength, courage, and wisdom to do what she is doing. Although she doesnt see it that way. Her daughter is going to come over and play with mine for a little bit this evening and Im thinking about sending the husband home with some left over dinner.

I dont know who saw the thread I had about not knowing who I was and feeling like I needed an identity outside of being a "Mommy", but this experience with my friend has shown me this is who I want to be known as. A kind and generous person, this is what makes me feel truly like who I am deep in my soul.

It is amazing to me that through her experience I have learned something so absolutly amazing about myself.

My friend just called me and she is home. She got discharged earlybecause her health insurance only covered till today. Her work is doing really well working with her and is giving her tomorrow off to take the time to find a councelor. Im going to see her tomorrow afternoon and I cant wait to tell her how wonderful every one was here. I know she is going to be so touched. Now she has the hard road of keeping herself clean in the everyday world.

Thank you all so much. I got to see her today, and she is doing pretty well. Im sure some of it was a front since it has been less than a week but she did go for a ten mile run today. I made sure to tell her how brave she is and truly how proud I am of her. I know she can make it through this and a big part of it was the help from all of you. Thank you so much..
