I hope this is the right forum for this, but something I'm curious about is how does Mystic Wicks get lots of Pagan authors to become members, were they invited or did each author just join the forum and gradually more and more Pagan authors come?.
Also, is there a way to get other Pagan or occult authors to come (people like Paul Huson, Stephen Flowers/Edred Thorsson, etc)?.
Thanks.

Different authors come here different ways. In my own case I've been active here for a while before my first things were published.
Other authors likely joined up the same way other members joined -- they happened to find MysticWicks through regular web browsing, noticed it seemed like a great place to hang out, and ended up joining.
I'm also pretty sure that some came here after being recommended the place by people they knew.
If there are other authors you think might enjoy participating here, by all means contact them and let them know they'd be welcome!

In my own case I was directed here by some members I met while on a book tour, and then later I was invited to be in the author forum.
Unlike the majority of forum sites, I found MW to be a healthy place to post and share. I cannot say the same for many other forum sites I have encountered.

For me it was because a discussion began about one of my books. I have a local friend here on MW who was participating in the discussion and asked me to drop by and answer a few questions. It's a nice place to come to and I enjoy reading the discussions here although I don't post too often.

Other times someone puts a gun to your head and makes you show up here.

I came across Mystic Wicks because I was writing an article for the Llewellyn Almanac a few years ago. I was so excited to see many of *my* favorite authors I knew I had to join. So I send Mol a message requesting a space in the authors section and i've been here ever since.
I have my own message board so when I come here I mostly read peoples questions. I love lurking and seeing what's on peoples minds!
