to all the Heathens/Asatruar or anyone who knows:
How do you start an altar? Consecrations/purifications and stuff? I can't find anything on the internet.
Good sites about Asatru/Heathenry in general are more than welcome, so are altar pictures :)

Thank you :) But are there any sites you know of which contain information about purification/consecration before setting up a permanent shrine?
I can't find anything, except that Thor is invoked a lot with purifications.

I just read Swain Wodening's Germanic Magic. It was heavily weighted toward Anglo Saxon practices, but does approach some of the questions you are asking about consecrations, etc.

James Hjulka Coulter's Germanic Heathenry also has a lot of details about setting up a homestead and ceremonies, but his work is about Irminic Heathenry, not Asatru.
