Crystal Ball

This past weekend I attended a spirit fair, there they were selling a lot less than I expected, nevertheless, my honey bought me a crystal ball that I was really attatched to.

I have never had a crystal ball, or even tried scrying, I know this is going to be a bit complicated, and I was posting to see if there was anyone who could help me start scrying? Also what are your experiences with crystal balls, do you find them easier tools then other divination? Is it a must, for you?

Sometimes if you light a candle, place it behind the ball
(meaning the line is you looking at ball, ball, then candle)

and then focusing on the ball

i love my ball, which was an accident of using it

it was a gift of a small glass ball with many bubbles in it

never crossed my mind i would use it as a divination ball, simply because of the bubbles

but i always liked it and had it on a table one day when i was casting

and kinda got the nudge to use it

and loved it since!

I knew somebody on here has used a crystal ball! Mine has bubbles and swirls in it also, are there any other ways are rituals that you use? I know you're supposed to gaze into softly and let the ball fill with 'smoke' and the method that you mentioned, but are there any other ways?

just gazing not worrying about the "smoke" till you get soft sight

you know that unfocused site

another way is to actually hold it in your hands, close your eyes and breathe, see what pics come into your minds eye

and simply let it work as a clearing and energy source
