Here's a link to details of a new pyramid uncovered in Egypt, believed to be for one of Cheops' grand-daughters.

i saw this elsewhere, and couldn't get a link to it. so i was going to write about it instead. i'm glad i checked here first!
this thrills me no end! it doesn't seem to be a very significant find archeologically, but the idea that there are still unfound treasures in a place that has been scoured as much as Egypt is very encouraging. and any new evidence to help bring some kind of realistic timeline to events in ancient Egypt is welcome also.
after all, according to the 'King Scorpion' documentary, those little labels found on the floor of that relatively small tomb seemed rather unimportant. but they turned out to be one of the most significant finds ever, causing a serious re-think of the origins of writing.
cool! thanks Azure.

Thanks, Azure! There was a teeny tiny article about it in our local paper & I was just about to do a search for more info. :)
