Kinda an odd request

a couple years back I met this guy, James, while he was on a deployment with the USN. We became friends and made plans to meet up when he came back to the states.. He invited me to his ships annual x-mas party.. When he came back he drove 18 hrs (a drive that is usually 5hrs) in a blizzard to keep his promise to come see me.. We went to the x-mas party and he was the 1st person to show me the ocean.. (I love water) He took off for my birthday and had ordered an engagement ring for me, but it didn't arrive from one store to the other in time..

I moved a few weeks later to be a little closer so he wouldn't have to drive as far.
The last time I talked to him he was playing pool to "earn some extra cash for his trip to see me the next weekend" and he tole me he would call when he got home..

He never called.. I text him and got no response, I called him a few days later to get the message that his voice mail box was full. A few days later his phone was cut off.. A few days after that his military email was closed..

I've always wondered if it was just that he didn't really want to commit or if something actually happened to him that night..

could somebody use some form of divination to maybe tell me if he is alright?

He was the first guy I had feelings for and if I know that he is alright my heart will be put at ease. Cause right now I feel that I can't truly find "peace" until I know..:heartbrea

Sorry to be mundane here, but have you tried to contact or trace him through others means? If he is in the navy they will know where he is. What about electoral rolls, or phone books? Even sometimes something as simple as googling his name can give you ideas as to where he might be, or at the very least, give you peace of mind that he's okay.

he has a very common name (James F. Smith) so just searching is a very hard thing to do.. i know that he is from mississippi but not sure of the town. (he told me i just don't remember)

I guess I've waited this long waiting longer wont really hurt me.
