I was told again this weekend, that I do not look like a witch... Depending on my mood that gets a laugh, a sigh, rolled eyes, an energy throw etc.

This weekend I did my spiel on what DOES a witch look like, cause I have been one for a looooooooongg time now.

But I was thinking hey this could be a weekly thread ...

WHAT do you think a witch/wican/pagan/person that does divination/insert more choices here ;)

looks like??

Should the women all have longer hair? short? be heavy? wear hats? be thin and only eat frog legs?

you get the idea, feel free to have some fun (respectfully of course) BUT think about it some too, what do you see and think hmm I bet he/she.....

Obviously, they should be female. possibly in their late thirties. Perhaps a little overweight, with long flowing hair (black or red, preferably), and brightly coloured clothes, which can vary, but she must have at least one large, billowing tie-dye skirt.

Man, do I have a lot of work to do to look the part! See y'all in 15 years.

Well, she must have a cat! And a crooked, pointed hat with a gigantic buckle on the front. She must wear fishnets and pointy shoes and ride a skinny broom stick. Her hair must be long and black and flowing, and she needs to look evil and sexy, lol.

But I think a witch can look like anything, I get it a lot. "You don't look like a witch" Well, do Christians have a certian way they look? What about Buddhists? Or any other religious or spiritual group? Though I can only think of one, the Apostolics, they all look a bit a like as far as the women. The long jean skirts, the tennis shoes, the little dolie and the bun, the modern uptight look they usually have, lol, just kidding. But seriously, I think that witches and anybody else can look however they want regardless of their faith or practice, its a bit biased to say that we should all be gothic, pale and evil. :) We can look like that and a million other different things. We could be bearded women wearing long johns and overalls with a stocking cap in the Summer and be a witch if we wanted. :)

lol,
be well,
Autumn

My friend Sandra is the perefct definition of what a witch looks like. If you'd like to see her picture, go to my MySpace page and she is in my top 4 friends. LOL

1. LOTS of jewelry, preferably shiny.
2. Lots of dark eye makeup
3. Lots of black clothing, preferably with fringe, sequins, beads, shiny objects, etc.
4. A wonderful cackle.

Or you could go to the other extreme

1. Very long, naturally graying hair, preferably in a braid.
2. No makeup at all, natural
3. Only organic clothing, preferably with sandals, long skirts, etc.
4. A gentle, tolerant & compassionate smile.

LOL, this is fun.

Do all doctors look alike? Why should all witches have a certain look that identifies them as witches? Doctors sometimes wear a "uniform" (white lab coat and stethiscope) when they are at work. Some witches like to dress the part, when they are working or even doing PR work. But the rest of the time we all look as different from each other as any group you can look at.
