Hey, guys, isn't this awesome (say "Yes," darnit!)? Flaire kindly created a sub-sub forum for us to start the MysticWicks Pantheist Reading Group.

In April, in the "Things to Read" thread, ravenscape offered this:
It would be interesting and fun if we could choose a book to read together, and maybe post our thoughts each time we finish a couple of chapters. Would anyone else be interested? And does anyone have suggestions of books to read?We had a lot of interest in the idea, but it stalled before it got anywhere. But now it has a forum all its own, and I for one am super-excited to get it rolling.

Here's how Eleisawolf and I envision this working: each item we choose to read together will have its own thread. To get us going, I've chosen the first item, but in the future, the group will suggest and choose. These items can be whole books, read together chapter-by-chapter, or articles we find in magazines or online. When suggesting titles, please keep to items that most people can find easily. If you read it in the back-issues of an amateur zine that's only distributed in your city, we'll probably take a pass on using it for group reading.

We'll establish a time-frame for discussing the chosen title. The thread will stay open; you can always add impressions if you come late to the party, or if something about the piece strikes you months after you read it, but there will be a definite time period where we focus on one title; then we'll move on to the next item (if there is one at that time).

This thread right here will be our home base for suggesting titles for reading. It will also be where we discuss how the reading group is going - things that work, things that need work, and the like. I've stuck it so we can find it easily.

So jump on in; the water's fine. Discuss the idea; read some interesting stuff; suggest some works that a bunch of disorganized Pantheists and Pagans might enjoy. Above all, have fun!
