Crystal Ball Advice

I just purchased my first crystal ball. I've always wanted one, but like other tools, I wanted to wait for the right one to come at the right time, etc.

We were in Salem on the 6th and boy did I go on a spree. My favorite purchase was a huge, clear crystal ball on a gorgeous stand that I purchased at Laurie Cabot's shop on Pickering Wharf.

I had it shipped and it should be arriving any day. I browsed through a few books on creating a technique, etc., but before I bought anything, I wanted to come here to get some advice and tips.

So, any recommended books or tips on crystal ball divination?

I would suggest saving your cash, and instead cleansing it and starting to work with it some. try some of the many suggestions you will find here at MW or elsewhere online and see how it goes first.

I am with the woman monster on the do not try to hard part....leave expectation at the door and relax, get to know it

Unfocus your eyes and try to see through the crystal. I always found that crystals that arn`t flawless are better as you can let your eyes wander around the fragments inside. usually, then, I can pick out shapes and divine from them.

Quite interesting, but not my strong point.

Awesome, thanks ladies. I'm off to DC for business (ack, meh) for four days, when I return before I consider doing anything with it, I'll charge it with the next full moon.

Also, I never rush into anything or expect instantaneous results - I'm a wise witch, I know how these things work ;) I have a great intuition and sense, so I'm hoping to rely on that.

Would be nice to have a good book too... Hmmmmph.

Maybe when I master, I can start a new MW Crystal Ball section! **rolls eyes in wonder**

Ok, here's one of those DOH moments...

My *crystal* ball arrived this week while I was away on business. I couldn't wait to tear open the box last night and whip it out. It's huge, and as beautiful as I remember, but it's GLASS. I didn't even take that into (DOH) consideration when I purchased the thing...

So, my new question is... Can one divine using glass and get the same response as crystal? I'm having serious doubts considering the energy and power crystal has.

Might just make a nice new (EXPENSIVE DOH) ornament on our new shelves in the guest room.
