Romania's struggling economy may be saved by the creation of a Dracula themed action park. But many claim it will only add to Myths and Historical misrepresentation. What do you think?

If there's a Dollyland, then I can't see why you can't have a Dracula land. It's just an excuse to build a tourist attraction.

I suppose that a Dracula Land will bring some tourism to Romania. Wasn't the man who supposedly inspired the Dracula stories, Prince Vlad, have such a thirst for sadism? I remember hearing that he would kill men by impaling them on rods and leaving them to die. ick. I would get sick to my stomach hearing stories like this at Dracula Land.

Legend has it that Prince Vlad the Impaler, would impale his enemies on long wooden stakes in a specific courtyard, and then dine in their midst. Just to show his enemies how ruthless he could be. Legend also has it that he on one occasion, dipped his bread in the blood of his enemy, and thus..the legend was born.
(well..there's alot more to the dracula story then that..but that's a big element of it) :)
Yep...I dunno..I'd probably be too creeped out to visit a dracula land, too.

But how cool would it be to say you've been to Dracula Land. :) I've always found Dracula interesting myself. I wouldn't mind going.

I think perhaps that Dollywood is aware it's campy - I'm not sure Draculand would be. I'm just trying to imagine the commercials - you know, where the little boy leads his grampa along to the giant statue of Vlad impaling a Turk.
