Namaste!
It has been a while since I've posted, I really need to start reading the forums again!

I have had this happen to me for several years now, and was hoping someone here could tell me what this is. I have been a medium for years. I can channel, but not as much as I used to. Since I started, occationally I see a flash of white light. its small, but apparant. I know its something , or someone trying to tell me something, but have never really been able to tell what it is, or if it really is someone trying to tell me something.

Could someone tell me?!?

Thank you!
Blessings!

Is it a bright wee flash out of the corner of your eye or right in front of your line of vision?

Sometimes I see dancing lights for no reason. I have had it explained that it can be your eyes playing tricks but it doesn't explain the flashes of "insight" that comes with some of them. <wry>

Well, I have occaisonally seen small white flashes, usually near the periphery of my vision. My doctor told me this could be a symptom sign of high blood pressure, particularly in the vessels in the eyes. Just sayin'.

This always seems to happen when I'm feeling spirits around me....
It is always right in front of my line of vision. It looks like a tiny flash of light...like from a camera.
Now I just sound crazy.....

no you do not sound crazy

flashes of light are common in both magic and mundane

mundane -- they can relate to many things from eyesight to blood pressure etc

magic -- they can relate to you learning to see auras to sensing spirits etc

do not try to turn and catch it, instead try to learn to be calm when it happens and wait ..

Those lights are commonly called "auras" but in the medical field they're not the same as in the super/para-normal field.

They can be associated with seizures, migraines and many other issues (of the veins, brain and/or eyes)-- its a good idea that if you are seeing them over time to get to a DR so they can sort it out. Seriously.

I see weird visual disturbances, often flashes of light--for over 2 years now. I see the daily and many times throughout the day.

I have like 5 different types...some are what I call "pixel lights" --they're small random, fast blinks. There's the "blob" which is larger (about thumb sized), always on the left and flashes quickly and goes away...it's usually before an Absence-like seizure experience...etc.

I don't have migraines either and my eye DR said my eye was in excellent health--no tears or vein problems in my eye. So that leaves my brain...I've been having more issues these last 2 years and I realized it wasn't normal and as my sister recommended, I need to see a neurologist to discern if it's brain (seizures), veins (migraine-like issues) or something else.

I'm going to a neurologist because they might be simple partial seizures (I have other odd symptoms as well). You stay conscious during simple partial seizures.

I also believed I've had Absence seizures and a Tonic seizure when I took Benadryl (which can cause seizures in people that are susceptible)--- see here (http://www.epilepsy.com/epilepsy/provoke_otc.html). Scary stuff.

Simple Partial Seizures (http://www.epilepsy.com/epilepsy/seizure_simplepartial.html) --if you want more info.
(Also do a search for that phrase on Yahoo: http://search.yahoo.com/search?fr=ytff1-&p=partial%20simple%20seizures&ei=UTF-8)
Oh and this article: http://www.epilepsy.com/stories/ps_1064005012.html

Mine are visual so I probably have a problem going on in my occipital lobe, before the visual association center (because I see abstract things, not images linked to the visual association area).

I've been keeping a detailed log of my experiences so I can take it to the DR. It's important to have details. Perhaps you should just keep a log, see if anything makes sense.

Personally, I hope you don't blow it off or think it's only psychic-- it's best to rule out the medical first, IMO. Also, just so you know...if you are having seizures, they can progress over time to Grand Mals and stuff. Or if it's a vein problem it could lead to a greater risk of stroke, etc.

Hope the sites help, take care! And good luck :)
