During each session of using your pendulum, should you do the "show me a yes"/"show me a no" test each time?
I guess a better way to ask is, do the swing motions for "yes" and "no" change or are they usually the same for you?

in my experiance they do change frequently
I say yes you should always ask first and confirm what responses you may get each time

My experiences are once I've bonded with my pendulum, it has the same movements for yes and no. No changes.
Last time I used mine was at the Hotel Bella Maggiore in Ventura, very haunted and I had a VERY interesting experience!
Good luck :)

Happy Divining TheWhiteRaven.
(by the way I love your user name, I've seen a white raven in the forests of Vancouver Island BC).

I side with the majority so far - in my experience, a particular pendulum has always reacted the same each time it's used. If you have multiple pendulums and switch between them, you may have variations in types of response - but it should stay consistant to each one when you use them.
I would suggest that if you have established a pattern of "yes" and "no" responses through working with a specific pendulum and for some reason they change on you... something is up. Take note and extra care to refine/rephrase your intentions/questions. Perhaps you aren't meant to
know the answer - or your focus or the timing of the divination is off. Just a few things to think about...

I also agree with the majority. Once we've had our yes/no conversation, it usually is consistant with which movements means yes or no.
