Is there any kind of page conversion I could look up? The internet gave me nothing. Basically, I just want to know how many basic novel (6"x9") pages there would be in X amount of U.S. letter (8.5"x11") pages. Or rather, plain ol' word document transformed into standard book-style.

Anybody know?

...on the typesetting you choose. The font, size and leading need to be factored in.

Assuming you have the material in your computer, you could Select All, then change the Page Setup so that the print is within the 6" x 9" margins. Number the pages, and then divide by 2 - that would be the number of 'pages' as in, pieces of paper.

Is this making sense? :hahugh:

If you're doing the formatting for a self-publishing system like Lulu.com, the best way to get it set up is to do like dragoncrone suggested -- set it up in your word processing program to use 6 by 9 paper and give it the margin settings, fonts, etc. that you want to use.

If you are using Lulu.com, they have a FAQ page about formatting here (http://www.lulu.com/en/help/index.php?fSymbol=book_formatting_faq).

I don't know how you came upon such an aging thread, but thanks! :)

Sometimes a thread is worth adding to if it can help others who are looking around. I hope your project worked out well!
