A lithic site in Connecticut, referred to as Gungy Wamp, features stone circles, earth mounds, and some might even say, carvings of the Chi Ro.

heheh...Yes Sir Greenman. There's also a HUGE pagan community in Connecticut...and Connecticut was also the site of many "Witch Trials" in the colonial period.

Of course, if you are visiting some of these areas, as well as the lighthouses in the coastal towns...you should also visit some of the historical seaports in CT. Most notably, Mystic.

Mystic has a wonderful aquarium, and maritime museum. There are also whale watches which go out from there, I believe.

Connecticut also is the site of many haunted places, or rumored haunted places, as well as the home of Ed and Lorraine Warren, famous (though, imo, hoaxes) ghost hunters. They run a museum there in fact. Full of artifacts from differen't cases they have solved.

In addition, there are the casino's in Ledyard (foxwoods), and Mohegan Sun. As well as many Native American museums.

All in all..CT has many things to visit, and see, as does the rest of New England. The stone circles are only the tip of the iceberg!
