When people are doing readings based on numerology--do you use the person's birth name or do you use the name they go by? I've been pondering the differences in this. Your parents may give you your full name, but someone like me does not use their middle name--how does this affect a reading? And which one is more accurate? What your parents have given you or what you have decided you are?

I use full name at birth... is much more accurate than the variations - at least in my experience. I've also done married names... nope-nowhere close. Again, YMMV

I've heard that if they have a prefered name that is supposed to be used instead.

Like if a Richard or William goes by Dick or Bill, you should use that name.

But the birth name usually gives the best 'overview' from my experience.

And married names absolutely.

i use birth date and i use name you use

i find it much more accurate

people tend to change in their behaviors and beliefs, and often your name vibration plays a part of that

think simply

when you hear your first, middle last name ...your vibration changes even if it is meant well and not as a johnny jason smith you come here right now!

I was thinking that it might be more correct if you use what the person calls themselves because that is what they have become--if that makes sense.

I tried that-- and for ME it didn't work. The most accurate was my birth name (scarily so)

I've had my students try it too and they've found the same thing.

Just saying our experience-not trying to contradict anyone.

Try using both and then compare what they say against how you see the person. See if it works for you?

I've noticed that sometimes nicknames, when used as the primary name, can sometimes be more accurate of the person in that moment. The given name, however, seems to be a base personality on which that person expands.

Some theories suggest that it is a cumulative thing, all the names that we go by. That each name and nickname has an effect, and that only if you look at the properties of each will you see the full person. I think that it was the Kabalarians (http://www.kabalarians.com/index.cfm)? This was LONG ago that I read about it.
