I had this posted in one of the psychic threads and a helpful member suggested that I bring it here for the advice I need.
One of the reasons I joined this forum is because I recently had a psychic experience. It was real, it was the first thing this...incredible that I've ever experienced, and it scared the bejeebers out of me! It's scary but it's something that I'd like to see if I can develop at the same time.
Here goes:
For more than a week I was having a nightly dream/vision. No detail ever changed and it always felt so real I would wake up shaking. It all happened in the first person. I was browsing the photo evidence on a paranormal forum I belong to when I see a picture of a kitchen. The person had posted the photo becasue their nannycam had captured a shadow reflected on the base of their breakfast bar. It didn't look like any kitchen I'd ever been in or even could recall seeing, be it in rl, magazine,tv...whatever.
In the vision (?) I knew with absolute certainty that this shadow was not supernatural, it was in fact, a would-be intruder observing the home from outside of sliding glass doors. He was watching the home, observing the schedule of the person who lived there. Planning something very not good. Everything was so clear and so frightening that I began to spend hours on end searching the forum for the pictures. Finally, my conscience overcame my fear of skepticism and I sent a pm to the forum administration. They encouraged me to type up a more detailed description of what I'd been seeing and send it to them. At which point they would post it under an adminastrator ID and cite it as an experience from an anonymous member.
Within two days I got an e-mail from the site admin who'd been so helpful from the beginning. She forwarded a pm from another member who said that the description sounded like her kitchen but she responded mainly because long before she read the post she'd been catching herself sending uneasy glances toward those sliding glass doors and couldn't figure out why. Included with the pm was a photo of part of the kitchen. Even though the brakfast bar and doors were not in the photo it looked enough like the kitchen I'd been seeing that I asked the admin to give the member my e-mail address.
When the member responded I thought it best to ask her questions about other details of the home that I'd seen but not disclosed in the post. Nearly every detail, down to a bookshelf in the family room, was exact. I'm sure that we were both terrified! I'd never had something like this happen to me before and she'd just had a complete stranger describe part of her home in great detail and in connection with a very frightening scenario.
We spoke through e-mail constantly for two days. Divulging every little thing we could think of. Me, about what I'd seen and she about her neighborhood, security precautions which she already had in place...etc. Through communication we discovered a minor detail that brought with it some major relief. In her backyard (off of the kitchen) I had seen some rather large trees which blocked the view of her home from friendly neighbours who would certainly have noticed a stranger standing outside her doors and staring. In RL she and her late husband had cut the trees down shortly after moving into the residence. I felt an immediate sense of relief when she told me this. One of the feelings always most prominent to me was one of isolation. That this stranger could get in and no one would know.
The dreams stopped that night.
I've asked her to try and find out the recent history of the house. Perhaps what I saw happened to a previous tenant? It seems to me that this could not only explain what I'd been seeing but, it could also be why she gets that uneasy feeling about the doors. She and I have become cyber-pen-pals because of this which is great and we're both fairly certain at this point that she is in no physical danger due to her own precautions and the proximity of her neighbors/friends.
The experience, though, frightened and intrigued me.
Is this an ability/gift that I have?
If so, how do I learn to develop it?
Can I control it? Use it to help people?
Also, why now?
I'm 33 years old and sudenly I can see the homes of strangers thousands of miles away, and possibly even see hints of past crimes that occured there?
And for goodness sake, what prompted the dream/vision in the first place?
Coul someone please help me? I'm confused and really floundering here.
Thanks
