Not sure where to post this, but if someone feels it should be moved to another section, feel free to move it. Anyway...
I've had a couple really weird, and at the same time fascinating, ouija board experiences. I've never experienced anything like this before and would like some opinions on what happened or may have happened.
Okay, the first experience happened just about 3 weeks ago. I was partying with some family members when one of them got the idea to play the ouija board....now I've read you aren't supposed to mix alcohol and ouija boards, but we did. I remember everything up until placing my hands on the planchette. Now I'm just going by what my family members are telling me....
I guess the planchette stopped working and my hand became the new planchette. I was spelling stuff out so fast my relatives couldn't keep up with what I was spelling. I was making "growling" sounds which woke up my dad. He came to the kitchen and I guess my Mom was freaking out and my cousins were as white as ghosts. My dad tried prying my hand off the board, but my arm was stiff. He said my eyes were rolled into the back of my head. He told me the next morning, "Now I know what the back of your eyeballs look like." Now I vaguely remember my dad getting me out of the trance. The next thing I remember is sitting in the chair and my cousin had his hands on my head, holding me in the chair. They had a circle of salt around me and were burning white candles.
I guess after dad left, I went back into the trance and began spelling stuff again. My one cousin also commented that the top of my hands were very cold and I had great accuracy spelling things when I had my eyes closed. My mom said she also tried to restrain me, but couldn't.
The same thing happened this last weekend, with my cousins again. This time I remember playing the board a little longer and then nothing until I went to bed. I was spelling stuff so fast that my other cousin had to hold the board down so it didn't move. I guess I was giving them warnings. They said I was doing this for around 45 minutes. Whatever had control of me, let me go. After that my cousins left and I went to bed.
Now after the first experience, at my parents, my mom called me a week later and said there is something in their house now. She saw a white mist in the living room and has had stove-top burners turn on by themselves. My Mom told me she is never playing the board again -- the experience has completely freaked her out.
I haven't noticed anthing at my place yet, since the second ouija board experience (which happened at my place).
I know this sounds really crazy. Any thoughts on what was happening? Was I chanelling? Is it nothing?? Should I be worried?? Anyone else ever experience anything like this? . . .
Any comments and/or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, mrzebra.

All I can say is that this goes to support that ouiji boards are pure and simple evil. I had a similar experiance which I think i reiterated on another thread...
My friends and I unplugged everything and lit candles and did the ouiji board thing all proper and mid way through the game the phone rang...I had the chord in my hand...It was still ringing.
So I picked it up and I heard.."haaaaa haaaaa haaaaaa I`m coming" and then nothing. I don`t touch those things anymore.
You shouldn`t either...Looks to me like they`re kinda dangerous...Erm...Did anyone write down what you were spelling?

Ouiji boards are a game. They can theoretically be used like any other divination, since you are letting your subconscious do the walking so to speak.
That said, I don't know wtf was going on with your episode. You might want to have someone take a look at you, spiritually. If you're concerned that you're 'possessed' or perhaps too open to outside influences, you might want to work on learning to keep yourself "reeled in" and carefully shielded.
To be honest, I think this has less to do with the game board and more to do with your own self and/or subconscious. Perhaps this is simply how you personally react when doing divination? Then again, ouiji is easy to let your mind run away with you with.
Maybe you should try something a little more subtle, such as tarot or pendulums.

No, such experiences are not uncommon at all. But we might want to be a little skeptic.
It is thought that Ouija boards work by means of unconscious, involuntary muscle movements of the people holding the pointer (the glass). To test whether you're channeling anything, use scrabble or literary letters, have them draped quasi-randomly on a board, take a glass, and blindfold yourself. Then have someone else watch you and see what the glass spells out, if anything.
If the glass doesn't move, it's less likely that you're channeling something outside of yourself, and more likely that you have some serious issues you need to work out.
All I can say is that this goes to support that ouiji boards are pure and simple evil. I had a similar experiance which I think i reiterated on another thread...

If you set out to talk to ghosts, there's no limit to the amount of evidence you'll find... It doesn't make the object evil, it opens your mind to all kinds of impressions.

I can honestly say I have used a Ouija board twice in my life. Both times resulted in things I'd not choose to go through again.
I was 12 years old in 1971 and a friend and myself decided to play with one. I don't even remember the questions we asked but we got smart and told it to prove to us their was someone their. Well thier was an old steamer trunk in his basement, it lifted in the air, sailed across the room and crashed into the wall. Needless to say we left the basement and ran.
The next time I used one was in 1980 time frame while I was stationed in Scotland. A number of us were playing with an old Milton Bradley game verison. Various combinations were used but it seemed to only work when I was on the board. Well on my final use I asked a question I new to be foolish and dumb. The board didn't exactly take it to well, my arms went numb, my eyes rolled upward and I started to shake violently.
I should mention I always had my eyes closed except when they rolled. Since I couldn't see the board others read the answers. A couple of times my friend Tom placed his full weight upon his arms onto the plachette to make it stop moving. It moved anyway. Tom actually let go of the plachette and everyone present told me they looked at the plachette and my fingers never touched it they were actually about a 1/2 inch above it.
Their is supposed to be a picture of it but I don't know where it is at anymore.
However, I have never used one since and truly have no desire to do so again.

The board itself is not evil, unless cardboard is evil in my opinion. It is like tarot cards, the magic is in you/channels through you. The cards themselves are just that, cards.
I've had all good experiences with ouija. If you looking for a decent book on using them I recommend this one http://www.amazon.com/Aleister-Crowley-Ouija-Edward-Cornelius/dp/1932595104/ref=sr_1_25/102-2034093-6767335?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1189528800&sr=1-25
It's inexpensive, small, easy read and is a very good book.
Anyway, that's all I can say about it since I haven't encountered anything negative with my use of the boards.

"evil" ouija boards, oh please.
the vast majority of what scares people about ouija, tarot, or the magic 8 ball is their own drama. even if you were channelling (you may have been, it's not uncommon) the experience may have been amplified by your own fear and sense of drama.
drama is not a bad thing. we would not have ritual if we didn't have drama. but being conscious of drama can either improve or ruin a good divinatory session. sometimes you want to turn the drama off. if what you're getting is really subtle, to the point where you're missing half of it, go ahead and turn it up. just be conscious of drama. its as important a tool as the board itself.
regarding ouija and alcohol: i have a guide that i work with who prefers rum or liquor as a ritual libation. i have never had a bad experience with this guide, even after drinking ritual shots.

I do not disagree with you. I think in probability 90 - 95 percent of things are created and compounded by the users mind.
Yet I think Shakespheare said it best "....There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.... From Hamlet (I, v, 166-167)
We can try to speak off and discuss an occurance yet unless we are the ones who have lived it we can only assume. Yet in our assumption its is foolish to say or assume its can't be, that only reveals the limitations and narrowness of our own experiences.
Can boards be evil? Who knows. But then again a presence can occupy an item and make it evil if the presence was evil.
Gainesville - The Purple Porpoise - The Purple Porpoise has been a Gainesville institution for years and is about the close it's doors but the problem will probably go to the new owners. This is a college town and in the '60s a female student was brutally attacked and killed in the upstairs bathroom. To this day her ghost AND the violent ghost (more like an imprint) of her killer haunt the cramped hallway and restroom. She emits a feeling of hopelessness and fear while he is pure evil. Men are usually safe but numerous females have been attacked.

I do not disagree with you either. But I believe it is our own sense of fear and drama that makes us most vulnerable to harm by things known and unknown.
As for "possessed" people, "haunted" objects, places, etc. While my experience with ghosts and hauntings is limited, successful banishing is possible and even easy most of the time, by one who is competent and not consumed by their own fear and drama.

First, I'd like to thank everyone for their responses.
I would also like to add that I've played the board numerous times before and have never had anything like this happen. I've experienced other things like candles going out by themselves, cool breezes, a door slamming shut, etc.. These things don't scare me...I'm actually facinated by them. So is it possible, with me being fascinated with stuff like this, I may have opened myself up to these experiences?
I also talked to my cousin about the second episode to see if I could get more info on what happened. He told me that my voice changed when I was talking to him and my other cousin.
Any more thoughts?

I think the cool breezes might have something to do with the shutting doors and candles going out.
I honestly don't think you were possessed. You probably wouldn't remember it, and true possessions don't usually just go away. I think you probably got a little too "into the moment". It happens to everyone from time to time.
If it bothered you, just stay away from divination games from now on.

Those experiences with the cool breeze, door shutting, candle going out, etc. were all separate occurances. Sorry for the confusion. Anyway, I'm not saying I was possessed, I'm just wondering if it is connected to chanelling.

I agree to an extent. Thier are places, objects etc that have possessed or haunted feels to htem that some of the very best have tried to exorcise but have failed.
Some places are so deeply ingrained that no amount of effert / effort has or will be succesfull. Thier is a place in Colorado if I recall correctly, the spirit of an insane inprisoned man haunts forever. His wife was so dominating that her spirit still keeps its hold over him.
The Tower of London holds haunts that go back generation but the physical conneciton to them so powerful they can not be released. The ghost of the Two Princes, the Bear, etc. Glamis Castle in Scotland hodls the ghost of a woman, actually the wife of a duke, that was tried for Whtchcraft in Edinburgh then taken bakc to Glamis for execution. Her ghost is frequenlty seen in the catherdal.
The coffin of an egyptain Queen is hidden in the vaults of London Museaum that has caused harm to everyone that has come into contact withit. Not the Curse of the Pharoahs type situation just harm. The severed hand of a mummy was supposed to have caused grave danger to its owner until it was reunited and returned to the grave.
Battlefields that have ghostly reruns of battle. Battles from across the ages recreated over and over. Resurrection Mary of Chicago illinois fame to name but a few.
Many instances of highly trained and skilled persons documentigg occurances and events that are not subject to their fears or beliefs. Many accounts of banishments and exorcisms that failed or had no affect upon the house / battlefield / object, etc.
