Lately new ones have arrived and I am getting use to the messages and I do find the humor in seeing them. The timing is always amazing too. So today, like most days at lunch I was speaking to Elise and we were just doing our normal everyday speak. Our conversations always include humor, as we both love to laugh and we can both laugh at each other with each other. So today I am not even sure how the conversation turned to bossing me around but she made a statement about something I needed to do and stated I already knew what that was. So, I of course played dumb and was like, what? She explained it in no uncertain terms and reminded me, I already knew that. So, I thought about it for about a minute and pushed it away. I am real good at avoidance sometimes. So I went about the rest of my day.

Me??? you talkin' about me??? bossy??? what the hell you thinkin'???? _whistle_

As often time the signs things are never how they are supposed to be. Timing gets messed up, routes reversed or things are just not as planned and so when the signs show themselves to me during these times, I try and pay close attention. So, I had plans for tonight and had to change my normal routine around what was happening tonight. Well, as the day went on, things changed, the plans I had for tonight all got worked out during my workday, so I had a free night to myself, which I was excited about. Then things took a sudden change at work and I was there much later than expected and much later than I have been to date. So as I walked to my car, minding my own business, mind you, I hear something? I wonder, what is that? I keep hearing it, I sort of look around and I don’t see too much. All of a sudden I feel something on my left shoulder and then in my hair. Hmmm and I still hear the noise, so I turn and I see this grasshopper staring at me. As I sort of start to freak out a bit because I certainly don’t expect to see a grasshopper staring at me, he leaps off of me and onto a car very close to mine. The car by the way is a sign all on it’s own, well the plate anyway. So I think, that was weird and I don’t think about it again.

Once home I am drawn to it for some reason, so I begin to research it and I find:

Grasshopper: Uncanny Leaps Forward
The Chinese symbol of good luck and abundance, Grasshopper gives its totem people the ability to take chances. To move on hunches and take the leap forward. Things might not move for them as they do for other people; progress is not step-by-step, but rather extremely fast. Trust your own instincts on when to make the leaps. Trust your inner voice. It will lead you to great successes. Don’t be afraid to leap – and remember that Grasshopper only leaps forward – never backward. The grasshopper-locust is associated with astral travel. They have the ability to leap through time and into space where the true mysteries of life exist. People with this medicine have the wisdom necessary to overcome obstacles efficiently and are able to jump into successful ventures without preparation or planning. When the grasshopper-locust appears to us we are being asked to take a leap of faith and jump forward into a specific area of life without fear. Usually that specific area is one that we have avoided and is often connected to change on a larger scale.

So anyway, long, long, long post longer, Elise manifested the grasshopper to come not only kick me in the butt, but to say toldja’. Ahhh, yes, thank you for my friends. And thank you for yet another new sign.

I'm a HUGE believer in signs. :yourock:

But seriously folks.. Most of my signs come from the animal world too. My animal totem, the hawk often shows up, sometimes it a specific message and sometimes it just a hug and a reminder from my guides for me.

And some represent certain people in my life. A butterfly or dragonfly sometimes indicates a particular friend of mine is thinking of me or needs me.

I do always research the particular meanings if anything unusual happens. For instance, a friend of mine an I were out hunting a willow branch for a wand, and a cow comes walking by on property where cows don't exactly belong. My friend is of the Egyptian pantheon, hello Hathor! The cow stands around a bit then heads for the road which panicked me a bit so I yelled STOP, and the cow stopped in its tracks before it reached the road.

Personally the biggest sign I've received from the animal kingdom happened not long after I had discovered the hawk as one of my animal totems. I used to live in an apartment, and my parking spot was right in front of my door where there was a small patio with a fence in front of the parking spot. As I pulled up, a red tail hawk landed on the fence right in front of me before I had gotten out of my car.
Ever seen a hawk up close? They're huge! I'd have given anything to have had a camera handy that day. I sat there for a long while, "visiting" so to speak, but then we started to draw the attention of the neighbors and I got a little embarrassed and finally got out of the car to go inside. Of course he flew away at that point. It may not sound like much to others, but it really left an impression, this kinda thing doesn't often happen to one, especially in the city.

Other things have happened to me as well, in other ways, I think the most important thing is being aware and acknowledging they are getting through.

I see signs a lot, this summer it was the Osprey,
always telling me the choices I made were wise even if they didn't seem it at the time.

I also get Vultures a lot (one of my totems), she's taught me an awful lot about how to use my energy appropriately.

Some numbers work as signs.

When I was considering being with Adam (before he mentioned his feelings for me) I would see countless vehicles with his first name on them or last (even spelled correctly).

I like signs... they help me to understand myself and the world around me better.
Good for you for noticing them all, even if a grasshopper did have to kick your butt.

:hugz: for Elise and Rick too, you're great.

Very cool story. Thanks for sharing this. I love to hear other people talk of the things that happen to them. It reminds me I am not crazy. _pounce_

TWM, I love it. That is soooooo cool the signs about Adam.

And yes, ok, Rick and Elise are great........:boquet: Honestly, I don't know what I would do without them.

Funny today reading my horoscopes, Elise's words were of course in there. That happens to me a lot, someone will tell me something or I may even say something and then they show up again someplace else. I laugh.

So, here you go BOSSY, what do you think about these two:

Big changes are happening all around you, and you should jump in! This fluctuation of energy in the environment is going to give you a happy charge, and empower you to make certain changes in your own life. There's a new boldness in you, and it's claiming more control lately -- go with it! You have more power than you realize -- and maybe even more power than you're comfortable with. Get used to being in charge, because there is a born leader deep inside of you.

AND

Like some stray speck of fairy dust, still hanging in the air after a wand has been waved, a tiny piece of some magical vision is still glowing in your heart. Rightly or wrongly, you now feel inclined to be very generous and wildly optimistic. Is this a great mistake? Absolutely not. Even if your big move doesn't pay off in the way that you hope it will, it will yet prove highly worthwhile on some other level. Don't give way to cynicism and don't be ashamed of your faith. It may yet prove highly justified.

OK... if you can't tell a club from a staff, you can't have an impaling spear for xmas... you might wind up pokin' your eye out...

1111, your height is just fine... and Elvira's hair is just tooooo tall...

I know it was a staff she carried, dear... BUT 1111 only needs a club. It ain't Elvira's hair that she's going after anyway.
