the thread Danustouch started about John Dee got me thinking about another renaissance occultist, Cornelius Agrippa. he too was an astrolger, Qaballist and sorcerer. however, unlike Dee, he never enjoyed the freedom that a steady flow of money may have provided him.

If it weren't for the filth, strife, and plague of the rennaisance era, my goddess how amazing it would have been to live in those days. To witness such men as Agrippa in their heydey. To read their words, which must have been so incredibly revolutionary in that day and age.

I think it's great that he blended so much occult knowledge into his works, from such paths as kaballah, and christianity.

And I never knew he was a knight. I'd heard the name, and about his influence on alchemy, and astrology, but never knew all this about him!

Thanks for the links, Greenman!

Wow! That's amazing information, Greenman. I love to learn about the Renaissance period. :) I thought that this thread was going to be about a Roman, because of the name "Cornelius Agrippa." I was so confused to see the name Henry there though. lol. Yeah, Danustouch's thread on John Dee got me thinking about people who made a huge impact in the areas of math and science. Tycho Brahe immediately came to my mind, probably because I studied about Brahe and Dee in the same history of science class.
