I meant to post this ages ages ago, but I'd really like to share this site, which, IMO, is a very cool site.

http://www.neosalexandria.org/

It's a group of recons who reconstructing the Greco-Egyptian religion, Sannion is a member (and I believe one of the main guys responisble for it), and has some very great articles, it's not finished yet, but even the articles that they've got planned look interesting and I can't wait till they write some more (especially the one of divine kingship in Hellenistic era), one of the main figures that they honour is Alexander the Great, who I want to learn more about (he ounds like a very cool guy).

Anyway, I think people, whether you're interested in the religion of that era or anyone else should check it out (the list of gods that they honour is amazing too, and I've been informed by Sannion that the group have voted to add Ereshkigal, Anat and Seshat, which is really great, then I'm biased, especially in favour of Ereshkigal, but Anat seems a very cool goddess (gotta love a teenage war god, who wades knee high length in blood), and I'm not sure who Seshat is), they also honour YHWH, the Jewish god (or IAO as he was known in Alexandria).

Anyway, what are your thoughts on it?.

My thoughts is that it also belongs in the recons forum.

basic rule of thumb- yes, you're naming deities in your posts, but you're discussing the practice as a whole, so to recons it goes :-)
