Oh, I thought that this thread was going to be about Francis Bacon, not Roger Bacon. Guess I learned about a new fella today. I can never get tired of reading about great mathematicians and alchemists. The few mathematicians and alchemists that we have discussed have come from Britain. Were mathematicians and scientists studying alchemy a lot on the Continent as well?
