I need help. I am looking for info on the history Traditional Witchcraft and am having a lot of trouble.
I don't want any info on Wicca, thats not what I'm talking about.
I just want to know what you are willing to tell me on what you know about the history of your family's tradition.

Thats a question with a pretty personal answer for someone I don't know. I am not trying to be cute or rude or anything, just pointing out a fact. And the reason why you may be having trouble finding what you seek.

This has been discussed quite a few times here on Mystic Wicks....I would do a search for it, you'll find some good links.

If your beliefs are as you said in your introduction post, are you asking about traditional witchcraft to fool your mother? (I'd think a shift from LaVey Satanism to something else would be a pretty big switch.)

Yeah, I kinda guessed that'd be the reason I was having trouble, I would have asked a more general question, but I wasn't exactly sure how... So many people I know confuse it with Wicca and would either end up telling me it is the oldest religion in the world or tell me its only 50 yrs old; pretty big hole.
I'll try that, thanks.
Nah, I'm not going for a switch, just research on it's history.

You'll probably want to look in the Kitchen, Green, & Hedge Witch (http://www.mysticwicks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=263) section of the Paths area here at MysticWicks. Traditional witchcraft comes up there.
Here are some other threads that might be of interest to you:

And as others have pointed out, you'll find a lot more if you use the Search feature here.
I also highly recommend Isaac Bonewits' book "Bonewits's Essential Guide to Witchcraft and Wicca" as it covers a lot of this stuff. The book was out in an earlier version as "Witchcraft: A Concise Guide."
You'll find there are lots of threads on MysticWicks about the history of both Wicca and non-Wiccan witchcraft. In some of the discussions there is a distinction made between the two, and in other places you'll find the two are used interchangeably (which I personally think rather confuses things.)
