I've been seeing things...

I'm sure there are a lot of people here that have dreams of random places or people only to find that you meet them in real life later. I know I have several times before. But something stranger has been happening lately...

I'm not too "intuitive" but my dreams and thoughts have been crazy the last month or two and I don't know what's causing it. For example, I'll wake up one morning thinking of a song I haven't heard or thought of since I was 5 years old and someone later in the day will randomly mention the name of the song or the show it was from. Or I'll remember a person from a long time ago and someone will say that person's name the next day. This has happened a LOT lately. Another thing that's happened is I went to a club for the first time the other night and somehow remembered a dream I had a few months ago of that exact place and a specific person I saw there even though I had never been there or met that person before. I've had things like this happen in other periods of my life, but not so much at one time. There have only been maybe three or four instances in my life where this sort of thing has happened a lot over the course of a few months.

Coinciding with these events is something that's starting to creep me out. At first, it was just a black spec racing in front of me. I shrugged it off the first couple times because I figured it was a black bug flying past me or just my eyes tricking me. Then the spec started to turn into a small black ball that I see racing past my eyes every once and a while. Sometimes I would even see a big, round shadow or a spot of faint light somewhere in my room.

But the creepiest part was when I was driving home today... I turned onto a road I've been on hundreds of times and at the bottom of the hill for a split second I saw a big, pitch black humanoid figure that was walking across the street. It scared me because I had never seen anything like that before, but the figure was clear as day and it was really bright and sunny outside.

Has anyone ever had this sort of thing happen to them? I'm so confused because I don't know what these black things are or why I've been seeing them.

The eye thing sounds a bit like something my mum had. But doctors said it was because she had floaters in her eyes. You're sure that what you see is purely external? As for the black humanoid creature....no idea. Have never seen anything like that.

Your experiences with these coinciding events is something I went through. During one period of time I would have really strong déjà vu experiences and realised I had dreamt about them the night before. I would also find myself reading a random article about a movie, person, idea etc, then have it appear on a show on tv, THEN have someone would bring in up in a conversation etc and it was like....ok i get it...i'm suppose to think about it and learn something right? I noticed it more and more and it was like these things were placed respectively in front of me to notice.

Still don't have a real theory on why this happens.

You are switching on to seeing spirit :). Congratulations - just take care when you are driving. You might like to take a holiday or go on retreat until you are confident that you can control and understand what you are thinking, feeling, seeing and understanding.

Picking past-present-future-summary cards to help me make sense 0f what you're seeing, I think from the fact that they are all reversed means that although this is a scary and disorientating situation you can actually overcome the initial discomfort and begin to see things in a better light. The Queen of Swords shows you rather in denial about it - "this shouldn't be happening to me now, I'm not the one for this kind of thing, I don't really think it exists or I'm going mad or something" but can probably therefore be turned into the positive aspect where you learn to control and use this talent in conjunction with your normal working life. Death in the present shows a new life forming for you - one which is immensely satisfying IF you can learn to wield these talents for good and not a destructive purpose like what happened when my mother-in-law switched on; she pretended they didn't exist but used them to keep her daughter in check for a good month or two before I was able to prove to her in reality that I did have good intentions towards her daughter, and that Louise had good intentions towards me. The goddess Kali is shown in the upright position, so I think you might need this warning even though you know that these talents are something that will only enhance your life rather than make you scared of your own inner self.

The Knight of Swords reversed usually shows someone completely out of control, and upright he is a very dynamic and controlled character who nevertheless attacks life with great gusto, so I know you will be excited to learn more about this situation but PLEASE stay on the right side of the fine line between the moral implications of having access to this knowledge and its use. Seeing spirit opens up a huge range of possibilities for abuse and misuse of this and I would be being unfair to you if I didn't warn you that people who switch on too fast and too far often find it tempting, in a world full of people who have not got this talent fully developed, to use knowledge gained through extra-sensory means to their own advantage. When you are in contact with your guides I would speak to them - the Ten of Pentacles sums up the reading by suggesting there is a practical and down-to-earth reason why they have suddenly jolted you open; reversed the card suggests you are currently unaware "why me?" but since it can be turned upright in this context you will definitely benefit from talking to them about what the Tree of Life (the qabbalistic symbol depicted on this card, as it is in the Crowley-Thoth version) means to you.

I have no doubt that you are here among friends and asking the right questions, but spiritual second sight poses a big moral question about its usage that I have seen too many people fall prey to. Ask your guides to turn the volume down slightly - particularly when you are driving - but once open this wide you will not shut down again at all, so try now to focus on relaxing and asking why you are seeing these things, not what you are seeing.

I had a feeling that's what was going on, but I wasn't sure. I have been trying to get "in touch" with the spirit world for quite some time but felt as if I have been unsuccessful so far. I have had a couple contacts with my spirit animal guides and am trying to learn to be able to contact them on a regular basis, but meditation and stuff is hard for me and I sometimes wonder if there's anything I'm just imagining instead of seeing/feeling/hearing, you know? But the news you've given me is a huge support. I wanted to do a Tarot reading for myself but felt that I might be too confused to do it for this situation, so I'm so glad you've done one for me ^_^

Is there any advice you can give me for being able to communicate/see/hear/etc with spirits a bit more? I understand there is a lot of moral responsibility that comes with being able to do this kind of thing, and I feel that my guides will help me understand the rules when it comes to the spirit and real world intermingling. But I need to be able to contact them first and it's hard...

The feeling of deja-vu can be caused by epileptic activity (frontal lobe I think, but could be wrong) as well as the black dot and the humanoid creature (which may well have been a hallucination).

I don't mean to scare you. Spirit vision, if that's really what it is, is one thing and a blessing, but so many different things can imitate it, and its best to check those possibilities out early. Better to check out medical possibilities early, rather than have it advance to a dangerous (or deadly) point because we wanted to believe it was spirit sight.

I understand, and it's true. A lot of people back in the day thought epileptic seizures was a divine thing. I have no medical history of this stuff, but I'll get it checked out if it gets worse. This has never happened before, so if it happens more often it might be something.
