This is so I can get some input on the book, and keep the other thread specifically for doing readings :)
First topic of discussion, what the heck do I call this thing. I've got two possibilities, both very similar:
The Element Oracle
or
The Elemental Oracle

Also, I'm debating whether to design cards to go with the book, or to just explain how to make your own cards/choose your own stones/etc. I'm not an artist by any stretch of the imagination, though I do have some lovely ideas in my head that if I could find a decent artist would make beautiful cards. And there would only be four designs, as each element has four identical cards... aaarrrgggghhhh so many decisions!

I prefer the title The Elemental Oracle, just because I think it sounds nicer.
Making cards would be interesting, but it is sort of cool that people could create their own...
I'm sure it'll all fall together nicely, it's a remarkable concept.
Will you include sample readings?

Definitely. I find sample readings to be very helpful when they're included in books so that you can really see how things are interacting, and how to adjust things for various types of questions.
Spent all day thinking about this book! I've been working out an outline, just a basic structure for now.
I. Introduction ~ How this thing came to be.
II. Know your elements
III. Know how your elements interact with one another
IV. Making your set of cards/stones
V. Basic single element/card/stone readings
VI. Basic four element/card/stone readings
VII. The sixteen element/card/stone reading
a. The element positions
b. The elements in various positions
c. Sample readings
VIII. Conclusion, Glossary, Quick reference pages, or various other things.
I'm also thinking of making it into a workbook sort of thing. I'd make it so that every other page was simply a lined page so that you could make your own notes about elemental correspondences and interactions, as well as notes about readings, etc.

I'm having fun with this one in my Orphalese Tarot. The combinations and patterns that show up are very interesting. Consider the one that I'm attaching. I see compartmentalizing here, trying to put every area of life into it's own little spot. But that never works very well. I also see the four Water cluster, indicating this is a very, very emotional issue. There are Fire and Earth clusters to the left, which is the feminine side of the square, indicating this is either about a woman, or is being asked by a woman, and deals with an issue that primarily concerns women. The Air cluster in the very center at the bottom indicates to me that this person is not making a very practical decision (feet in the Air!), or is overanalyzing things. Notice all the Waters in the Fire column. Water and Fire do NOT get along well, this is a person that becomes WAY to attached to those she is intimate with. Either that or this is an emotional issue that deals in some way with sexuality. The trailing Water going into the Water column emphasizes the emotional nature of the question. If you look in the bottom left corner, there's a pretty checkerboard pattern of Fires and Airs. They are very nicely balanced, which is good, because Fire needs Air to survive, but too much Air will put Fire out, and too much Fire will suck over-excite the Air. The Air cluster is right there, indicating that perhaps the Fire, or the passion, is in danger of being blown out of this situation. There's a lot more going on here, that's just a start!
