It looks gruesome and gothic and is bound to give tarot readers a bad name, though at least it isn't as relentlessly upbeat as some oracle cards and tarot sets have become. The art is chilling to say the least and I wouldn't enjoy reading from it...I think there are too many "goth" decks out there when the real gothic decks often give the reader more of a mysterious and exotic air without having to resort to chilling imagery. I do like the Archeon for reading for intense energies, people and situations, but would recommend it over this because it does have a sense of proportion and can actually be more chilling than this stock-gothic-horror iconography.
