My feet...they've about had it...they're just done. :( I am not being dramatic...I was born with some sort of crazy and rare problems with my feet. The doctors don't really know what it is. But basically I am naturally inclined to walk on my tiptoes...like some sort of eternal ballerina. I've done it front the time I started walking. They say that my heel cords are overly tight or something and thats what inclines me to walk that way. But it might also be a symptom of cerabial palasy (which would expian my the odd way my mind works but I think the battery of tests I've had would have found that.)

Either way for the past few weeks the tendons in my heels are just not working they way they should be...it's amazing how fast my feet have been detorting in the past few days....overextering myself even a little...even standing up after just sitting around and taking it easy for hours. I'll have a sharp, stabbing pain in my heels, and after a while a throbing fatigue like pain. It's definatly starting to show up at work, I have to stand all day. For the past few days running or even some light dancing is well out of the question...to much pain involved.

So...at 22 I am getting the body of a 80 year old. :( I am not sure what I can do about other than to try to see some doctors that won't know what to do yet again. The doctors told me this would happen....that my feet and legs and hips would start to fall apart become of this. There wasn't much I could do but to do some physical theropy and try to stretch out my heels some. It worked...but only temporally. But even if things go far worse and I end up unable to walk...I think I can deal with that in time...what I truely worry about is losing my job. I love my job, even if it requires me to stand. Therfore I intend to keep this as underwraps as possible...to just suffer through the pain and hope my insurance comes through fast so I can see a doctor again. It's been a few years since I've been treated for this condtion....maybe there have been some advancements.

Anyway....keep me in your thoughts. :)

I thought there was some kind of surgery they can do to repair the tendons and ligaments in your feet to correct this pr0blem. I could have sworn I heard something about that before.

On the bright side though, those electronic carts are the coolest thing ever! I would be running people down constantly! You could put a fog horn on the front to scare the crap out of people, blinkers, all sorts of things.

Seriously though, I wish you the best. I hope you find a doctor that can actually help you :)

My daughter has always worn high heels (boots, shoes, sandals, whatever), wearing anything else just kills her feet and legs. Her oldest daughter walked on her toes for the first 4 years, now she just stomps... er... walks very heavily.

I had a lot of pain in my heel several years ago, was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis, was afraid I was getting a heel spur. The doctor recommended certain stretching exercises and advil, in time it got better.

My ex developed pain in both heels a couple of years later and I suggested it had begun right after he bought a new pair of work shoes. Unfortunately he had thrown out the old pair and didn't want to spend money on another new pair, but when he finally did the pain went away.
